This was a wild point for me, watching this air. I mean, I already was enjoying it greatly, despite so much lighthearted banter and civil maneuvering priorities. Then, this happens, and suddenly the darkness that comes from the shadow of those whom must lead from the top became evident. From here on out, this anime REALLY rocked my socks off. Enough so that I've choked up twice watching this reaction.

2024-01-13 01:21:56 +0000 UTCPeople really need to read more Chinese history. I suspect if the alternate universe was based on Imperial China rather than Dungeons and Dragons, people would be more accepting of the harem (though only if they were aware of Chinese history).
