Lady and the Tramp UNEDITED REACTION (early access)

Wow, that was a throwback to childhood! My sis and I watched this one over and over when we were kids. We really wanted a dog. We finally got one, and it was the best thing ever! Another one of our faves when we were kids is Robin Hood! I also adored The Sword in the Stone.

I absolutely love this one, I know it's not the best Disney movie but it's one of my personal favorites. I love dogs and really appreciate the simpleness of this movie. Yes it's not epic like Lion King or have a complex story but again I love it for that, this just feels like a slice of life but told through dogs and sometimes that's all you need to make a good, well done movie. And I always appreciated that this was an original story, movies like Snow White, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Dumbo and etc were already stories and books but this was one of the few that didn't have a different source material. I love how the whole movie is through the dogs perspectives, like Lady thinking her owners names are Jim Dear and Darling because that's what they call each other, you rarely ever see theirs or any humans faces. This movie really makes you want to go to a dog shelter and adopt every dog, lol. That scene is so sad and there are some dark moments like the one getting put down to sleep, you don't even see him only his shadow. And even though you have a few small villains like the cats, Aunt Sarah or the rat they don't have a big bad villain and they didn't need one, it wouldn't have fit with the story and I will say that rat use to always freak me out, they made that rat look so scary, big and you never doubted that he would have hurt that baby if Tramp hadn't had stopped him. Here's some great fun facts: The beginning when Jim gives Darling Lady for Christmas actually happened between Walt Disney and his wife, he surprised her with a puppy for Christmas and was in a hat box and I'm pretty sure that half of that dialog was also said, like her thinking it was something else. Trusty was suppose to die in the end, that's why it was shot like that but Walt changed his mind and wanted to be a happier ending and was worried about the kids crying. Several of these voice actors have voiced other famous characters like Lady also voiced Merryweather the blue fairy in Sleeping Beauty, Kanga's voice from Winnie The Pooh. Aunt Sarah voiced The Queen Of Hearts in Alice In Wonderland, she also was a fairy in Sleeping Beauty Flora, the pink fairy, The Fairy Godmother in Cinderella and a couple more. It's not really a fact but something that not many people realize is when those other dogs are chancing Lady they weren't trying to attack her but Lady was actually in heat and they could smell her and that's why they were so aggressive. And she's already pregnant by the time when she gets home from the pound and that's why the other two are offering her to stay with them, it would have been a huge thing back then if it had gotten out that she was pregnant with a stray dog especially how she lived in that upperclass life, they were trying to save her reputation and also wanting to help her with the pups.

I think by today's standards, the cats are considered a racist Chinese caricature.

I agree with the subtle things they manage to put in this movie; I still find little details every time I watch this. Like how Tramp isn't fond of human babies since his own experience with them is that they're home-wreckers (probably a personal experience of his, and how he became a stray in the first place.) ...But then he still risks being caught and taken to the dog-pound/being put down because he knows how much the baby means to Lady. 😭 (Also a nice throwback to how the dogs at the pound said that once he finds "the right one" he'll lose focus and get caught by the dog-catcher.)

Agreed! Oh well, I suppose we can assume/pretend that Si and Am helped pay for those dog biscuits aunt Sarah sends at the end there. 😂 It's nice that they at least gave her a small bit of redemption since she was mostly just ignorant and didn't understand the situation with the dogs.

Oh wow! 😮 I had no idea! I wish that were the case! I definitely prefer their approach in 101 Dalmatians, where you have Sergeant Tibbs helping out the puppies. Sends a better message, especially to kids. All animals are amazing!

In a different ending version, they planned to have Si and Am (the cats) appear again. They would first frame Tramp, but when they realized it was a matter of life or death, they would be the ones to show the rat to the humans. I kind of wish they kept that in the ending. :,O

Not sure what you mean by crazy, but I had a siamese cat for 18 years, and he was wonderful, truly the goodest boy. As for meows, they all have different meows. I have 5 cats and if they happen to meow in a different room, I can always tell which one it is. 😂 What I meant to say is that generally in movies cats are portrayed as bad, which couldn’t be further from the truth. They just don’t trust everyone. And I mean… who can blame them? Humans can be awful. But when a cat trusts you, you’ll have their unconditional love.

Oh I mean my mom had crazy siamese cats so this wasn't a shocker lol. Also I think they have a different meow sound so people view them as that

The way they make cats out to be the bad guys in older movies… And siamese cats?? They’re generally some of the sweetest cats ever. I enjoy this one, but that part always drives me crazy.
