Sorry guys but at around 28 mins in unnoticed you were talking over the dialogue, and you happened to be talking about the same thing as the characters. I know you’re wearing headphones but lots of us aren’t. Might I respectfully suggest you try and reserve your comments for a scene with less dialogue. I love your stuff I’m not trying to criticise negativity, it’s just you’re quiet for action and talking during dialogue. Maybe I’m alone but dialogue is my favourite and I’d love to see you guys pay close attention to it then say what you think after they’ve said their piece. Just so you can pick up everything because I’d be surprised if you didn’t miss any dialogue or if you didn’t it’s hard to know if you are reacting to the church scene or dialog scene.

Even as a skeptical atheist this production ordeal makes me feel uneasy. They should make a horror/history movie about the making of omen. Also original script called for Robert to kill Damien but Gregory Peck’s son died shortly before production so he convinced the director/studio to change that ending to the one we got. The actor playing Damien had a terrible habit of smiling at the camera and undercutting the tension. During the final scene where Damien turn to the camera Richard Donner said “Harvey don’t you dare smile!” This caused Harvey to immediately smile and all the crew felt a chill because that was a perfect move. The smile is way creepier than a blank face. You can thank 6 year old Harvey stephens for that improv/goof that actually worked and made the scene more sinister. Also the actor playing the father Brennan is Patrick trouton, the 2nd doctor who. And the score for this movie by Jerry goldsmith won a Oscar for this. Maybe you should watch the remake it’s the same story but modern and some of the acting is better as some of this had aged poorly. Also the deaths are more gruesome and realistic, they fix the common criticism about “why didn’t the priest move away from the pole he had plenty of time…….that kinda thing is better and the acting and photography is the same. There’s 3 extra scenes One in the Vatican talking about the imminent arrival of the anti christ One is julia styles nightmares about Damien and one is a final destination type death that used to propel Robert further into the eternal sea.

Omen 2 is great Omen 3 is okey The remake is shot for shot remake But the tv series Damien (a direct sequel to this is excellent)
