Sure...but he fails to act I which makes him equally incorrect. Perhaps he can see humans inability to see thier wrongs and their inheirent selfishness, but he then demonstrates his own inheirent selfishness by keeping the knowledge just for himself.

Yes, there is a difference between starting a war and responding to it, (and we both happen to have the same opinion about who started this one) but this line becomes extremely blurred and subjective depending on when you choose to start paying attention, because history is a chain of reactions. At the end of the day you need more than one side to start a war. The fire nation saw their expansion as justified, the other nations didn't so they fought back, resulting in warfare. We have our strong opinions on what's moral but the owl is an eternal being—he's seen the patterns of history, and has the wisdom to know that humans always believe their side is the "moral" one, using this as justification to kill others in the name of what's "right". He's probably seen a million Jets, a million admiral Zhaos, a million of those Earth bender soldiers from the Zuko alone ep, a million Sokkas, etc.
