The Producers is an amazing and hilarious musical. Rocky Horror Picture Show is a classic and similar style to Little Shop.

Also, while this might make me seem like a basic person, I think they made the right choice to replace the original "dark ending." Yes, it hews closer to the original stage play version plotwise. But I think for the movie, the happier ending was more fitting. The stage play was more farcical, so everyone dying didn't feel out of place. However, in the movie, you truly cared about what happened to the Seymour and Audrey, so the dark ending was like hitting a brick wall. (Plus, Audrey and Seymour's behavior in the "dark ending" just seemed so out-of-character.)
