I agree with Sora that you should watch the anime whether it's as a reaction or for your own experience due to being more faithful than the live action and for being a good show as well.

Erm, just realized there's rather a lot here that relies on my "recalling correctly" ... oh well ...

The anime only has 2 seasons so far, each with ~12 eps. So with that episode count, they really haven't gotten very far -- if I recall correctly, they're still in the player-recruitment phase. The Challenger League hasn't even started yet, let alone their journey in the Pro League. The anime does go into more/accurate detail than the LA, and is generally the more faithful adaptation, which is part of why I'd like you guys to check it out. Trust that it won't just be a copy of the LA, there'll be plenty of new stuff/takes. We're waiting on Season 3, right now -- the series takes a few years between seasons unfortunately, not the most consistent.

Yeah, it was lame to have that rule about record-breaking become the lucky decider -- yet another change you can blame on the LA drama. In the novel, Happy won barely, but fair and square, through excellent tactics. EE did get sold, though not to anyone we know. If I recall correctly, it was some rich fan that bought it, though EE got greatly downsized since even the new buyer wasn't rich enough to hang onto everything. Dancing Rain is also an old character like One Autumn Leaf -- Ye Xiu and Su Muqiu helped Mucheng create it when they were still very young, if I recall correctly. It was cool that Tao Xuan allowed YX to take the account free, considering how valuable it is, top Launcher in the League, and one of the top Gunners in general. The punk, Qui Fei, stayed on in the new EE, still using his Combat Form. Sun Xiang got transferred to Team Samsara, which is actually the reigning League Champion at this time. I think for lack of time, this team was largely written out of the LA, except for a few mentions of their core star, Zhou Zekai, a.k.a The Great Gunner. If there is ever a Season 2, they'll definitely get a front seat. Xiao Shiqin actually transferred back to his original team, Thunderclap, now with much more experience under his belt, after having led a powerhouse team like EE. The novel describes his return to Thunderclap, like a return to home, back to familiar grounds, but with greater appreciation for things. His tactics got even sharper, as he wielded little Thunderclap with precision against more traditionally powerful teams.

Thanks for the shout-outs! This has been great fun, the whole ride. I don't think I could've chosen any place better for this series, you guys are awesome.
