2022-03-25 15:58:45 +0000 UTCAlso, I watched this at a movie theatre in Alberta, Canada when it came out (with another snobby European friend and a friend who's originally from Vancouver) and when the really barren uninhabitable space locations came on screen, we joked "Hey, look! It's Alberta!! HAHA". Then my friend googled the locations where it was filmed and it turns out, it was mostly filmed in... Alberta, Canada. :/ We didn't find it quite that funny after that π . Anyway, if you go to Alberta, go to the Rockies lol. (no offence, Albertans! ;) )

The song is on the time dilation effect and a group of volunteers going out to find new lands in space. They come back and more than 100 years have passed on Earth. I always have to think of it in connection with Interstellar. May said he was "always struck by the human element" of such an undertaking. Check it out. :) (btw, his dissertation was "A Survey of Radial Velocities in the Zodiacal Dust Cloud").

I am not much of a movie crier anymore but I cry everytime during the video call scene and the "make me stay." When I saw Han Zimmer live and he did the Interstellar score it was just spectacular.
