2022-03-03 18:26:39 +0000 UTCGwen's death was actually leaked heavily before the release of this film even back in her debut as Peter's love interest in the first film because she is his first love in the comics and dies leading him to later be with MJ. There was speculation of her character not making it to the end of the intended trilogy. The outfit she is wearing is a replica of the outfit she dies wearing in the comics. Set photos were posted online leading too much speculation of the loss of her character at the end of this film; Emma Stone also hinted at it when she spoke on how upsetting it was to work hard on a project only to have paparazzi spoil an ending. This film also was originally going to introduce this franchise's version of MJ played by Shailenne Woodly who actually shot a few minor scenes for the film, even one where she meets Gwen. She was going to be a version of MJ with a little more edge and spark than Dunst's version from the og trilogy!

2022-03-03 06:59:24 +0000 UTC32:45 that scene sealed it for me. Andrew Garfield was the best actor to ever portray Spider-Man. Even in that moment, you felt for both Aunt May and Peter. The best scene in the movie.
