Yeah I use to hate Nicole and thought she was so stupid, mostly because she saw the dog was fine, if it was in danger then I totally get going to rescue it but she saw them ignore the dog but recently I realized that when Kenneth said "they got him" she probably thought he meant the dog, he never said Andy and like you said she was using the dog as coping mechanism for her loses and she snapped. But like they said in the film they were going to have to go over there anyways and it was going to dangerous regardless.

2022-02-26 01:27:04 +0000 UTCYour correct they didn't know how it was spreading and especially from such a small bite, Luda's bites was that bad but that's also why it took her longer to die and come back to life. The only zombie movie that I can think of that actually calls them zombies is in Zombieland, they usually call them the infected or the undead. I don't think they even call them zombie's in Shaun Of The Dead.

2022-02-26 01:20:25 +0000 UTCThere were some scenes being played at the same time as the credits roll, I guess no one warned you to watch that. Also keep in mind the gf kind of transposed her dependency on the dog after losing all her family.....she is played off as just being a teenage girl that just lost her family a few days ago.....it's not like the walking dead 9 years later of being used to death and zombies. it kind of blocked her sanity a little like the pregnant couple. The cop not taking charge is actually a good decision as it shows to his personality where he says f* ya'll and better them then me.....he doesn't care enough to take charge. Another little tidbit is notice all the names in the mall are made up? They did try to get some name brands to be represented in the movie and help the budget but they all said no....it wasn't during the big zombie hype, snyder wasn't popular they didn't have any recognizable names so they thought it was going to be a complete flop and didn't want their names connected to it.........The mall itself was a real mall that was getting demolitioned they had access to. The dvd has a cool little extra clip that shows during the time Ana is passed out in the car where he talks about the spread of the infection and him getting stressed out from lack of information and then the we're going off the air it has maps that show the spread of infection. There's also another extra that shows Andy's pov as he starts his hunger issues. Where they got lucky with food and well he's in a gun shop. In their universes there are no zombie movies to pull knowledge from. The girl at the begining they wouldn't let her look in a mirror when she was in make up and they spent a long time looking at safe non chemical makeup concepts for the baby....i think a combo of some baby food colors..... (they have a whole commentary as they watch the movie that has a lot of cooll tidbits though)

They didn't know at first the bite is how it is spread. It's only recent they actually include the word zombie in movies. There was some things at the end you missed btw. =]
