28 Days Later UNEDITED REACTION (all access)

This movie really kept me thinking. It was reflective and unique. Eevrything you'd want out of a film. Never seen anything like it that's for sure! Watch along with your own copy!

We watched this one on HBO Max

This movie is just plain DOPE. It was filmed with a shitty camera purposefully to make it feel more raw and real. The stylistic choices definitely makes us as the viewer on the edge and full of anxiety for a majority of the film which is exactly how we would feel if we were in the situation. Always on alert and on survival mode. Also, the humor is real...think about being in a traumatic experience and to literally get through it you can become numb while also using humor to deflect. There so much to take from it, the biggest thing for me is the style cinematically and the microcosm of each groups relationships with each other. Life is all about those moments. Even the small ones. Even during a...pandemic.

To paraphrase Danganronpa, when there's no longer hope, despair takes over. If you read the first few chapters of the manga "Eden no Ori" there's an example there too, when the people in a plane crashed in the middle of nowhere they went in a panic, and their inhibitions went away. They started killing and "doing stuff" to each other because they were shocked and traumatized from the believe that they were doomed and were going to die. The flashbacks from Grisaia no Kajitsu as well, when the school trip went array after too many days had passed and their attempts of letting people know where they were after the accident, panic took over them too. That's what I remembered with the soldiers, they weren't civil anymore, because that sense of normality was gone.
