The scene with his mother is so well done and very well acted, the fact that he's in denial and can't accept that she's gone and they have to shoot her is heartbreaking. A comic book was made and I believe the answer in it that Diane did survive, I'm glad because I really liked her and didn't want to see her go. I think you care so much because they feel real, I think I would be just like Shaun who doesn't notice right away and I definitely would have to check and make sure I didn't destroy my favorite records or DVD's or whatever I was using to hurt them. But my favorite easter egg is when Ed says "we're coming to get you Barbara" that is direct quote from The Living Dead but instead they said "They're coming to get you Barbara." I hope you do Zombieland or Dawn Of The Dead (2004) next, that is the remake but it's one of the best in my opinion and I think that one is more up your ally then the original, not going to spoil anything but the opening scene alone is worth watching! In fact you can tell Shaun Of The Dead took a lot of inspiration from it.
