This was a John Hughes movie? What? My brother and I loved these growing up. Definitely watch the 2nd and 3rd.

2021-12-17 01:01:29 +0000 UTCThe house they used for the exterior shots in this is not far from where I live. Actually drove past it a few months ago and people were standing outside taking pictures. It's always fun to hear all the local references in John Hughes movies too like South Bend, Kenosha, and Sheboygan. I love all the little details in this movie like the fact that they accidentally throw out Kevin's ticket and passport when they're cleaning up the spilled milk, and then you see the old man with a bloody hand buying bandaids and the next time we see him he has a bandaid on when he shakes Kevin's hand in the church. Or how the Wet Bandits are driving around in a van that says, "Your flood control experts!" on one side and, "Residential work is our specialty!" on the other. My favorite Joe Pesci movie is My Cousin Vinny! Would definitely recommend if either of you haven't seen it. And next Thanksgiving you should check out Planes, Trains, and Automobiles with John Candy. For more Catherine O'Hara, Best in Show is also hilarious!
