2021-12-04 15:25:54 +0000 UTCOh my, I love this movie! Thanks for doing it, its been a long time since I have seen it. Another one I saw in the theater, and it was amazing on the big screen! My 2 cents on the discussion: I also don't Peg did anything wrong either. And the whole thing was a terrible tragedy, but also Edward saved Kim. He opened her eyes to what a jerk her boyfriend was, and made her look at the world in a new way. She was well on her way into turning into one of the "sheep" in the neighborhood, and I think he saved her from that.

2021-12-04 04:34:42 +0000 UTCit was a mistake but the concept is that as a tragedy that's more real life ironically making fun of middle suburbia at the same time....that in the end the bullies don't always learn a lesson and apologize to the little guy. That is our ugly culture. And he didn't get the help he really needed.....the psych at the prison nailed his personality perfectly but then obviously should know he needed more help and wouldn't survive, even the cop understood but didn't know how to help. Which I wonder if there was a casting choice that was consious there making the cop the only minority character that actually understood his being a fish out of water so to speak. Even the old man at the bbq turned on him from saying don't be called a cripple you're like me to calling him the crippled hand man. And johnny depp is just amazing, one of my favorite actors. he can get into any mind set you put before him
