Have either of you seen the movie "So Dear to My Heart" ... it's an oldie (1949) with Burl Ives, but a classic ... I think you would enjoy it. You can watch it on Amazon.

2021-11-29 16:55:45 +0000 UTCMy theory on the train spirit is that he is meant to represent the Holy Spirit of the Trinity. The conductor would be Christ, the physical manifestation and only way to reach God, and Santa is God. That ties in with the whole theme of faith and belief.
