2021-11-26 22:43:55 +0000 UTCMakes me sad to see A Christmas Story in last place. I grew up in Ohio and going to Higbees Department Store in downtown Cleveland at Christmas time was amazing. Ten floors to get lost on. I can still hear those noisy old fashioned wooden escalators clanking. Sadly, it's no more and neither is The May Company that used to be on the opposite corner across Ontario Street. At least they haven't taken the wrecking ball to the buildings like Hudson's in downtown Detroit. Sigh!
