Another thing that wasn’t addressed is it’s called The Grudge because once you enter the house you are inevitably part of the curse the husband started by killing Kayako and Toshio, so the curse won’t forgive and won’t forget that you’ve become a part of it and will catch up to you eventually. Also I’m not sure if you caught this either but the cover of the movie is Kayako’s eye because she died with her eyes open so all her victims die with their eyes open as well, so it gives it a creepy feel to the ambience :)

2021-11-27 23:52:52 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if either of you got it, but Kayako and Toshio kill because they were both killed in a powerful rage (anger) and anyone who enters the place they were killed will be consumed with their fury, as it said in the beginning. But react to The Grudge 2!

2021-11-27 18:18:55 +0000 UTCAwesome reaction :) I was absolutely obsessed with this movie as a kid, and still love it. I believe Toshio meows because of his emotional connection to his cat. They were both killed in the same bathtub at kind of the same time and (because of the emotional connection) the spirits kind of merged, if that made any sense at all haha. It definitely makes those scenes really unsettling. I'd definitely recommend checking out "Shutter" (Thai version or the remake, they're both great).
