Sleeping Beauty UNEDITED REACTION (early access)

Comments

We have both seen that one...but possibly we could still react to it.

Maybe Beauty and the beast now? :)

Aww thanks so much!!

Thank you for saying everything I wanted to! The VHS version had the short documentary and this has always been my FAVORITE princess movie. Really enjoyed how much they liked it👍

Love hearing you guys gush about these classic Disney films! For me this one has a few flaws, not one of my favorites but I do really like it, it does have one of the best villains of all time! And a great fun fact the voice of Maleficent also did the voice of the evil Stepmother in Cinderella and I don't know if you've ever been there or been on it but on the haunted mansion ride at Disneyland/world she also does the voice of the floating crystal ball head Madam Leota, an amazing and haunting voice! Please keep up with these classic Disney ones before venturing off to the renaissance. I would love to get your input on of course Snow White but also Pinocchio, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Robin Hood, Lady & The Tramp, 101 Dalmatians, those two in particular are great because you get the perspective of the dogs which are great and very funny. And I don't know if both of you or just one of you have seen it but eventually I would love to see you react to Beauty & And The Beast! It is my favorite Disney film, the characters, story, animation, music/songs are all fantastic! There is a reason why so many say it's the best and there's a reason why it was the first animated film to be nominated for Best Picture, that was unheard of back then, even now only 2 other animated films have been nominated. They didn't create Best Animated Film category until 2002 which Shrek was the first to win and if you were curious the other 2 animated films were Up and Toy Story 3, which I completely recommend as well!

This was a wonderful reaction! I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid. It was so fun to watch with you again. Yay! (∩^o^∩)♡

Great reaction guys! This was my favourite animation as a kid, I love its style so much. Please tell me you're gonna do Snow White (1937) next!

Okay here we go. I apologize for the length of this in advance but I love this movie. As I mentioned in the comments for the jungle book Disney went through some financial trouble after this movie. This was an incredibly difficult and costly production and it ended up being the first movie they ever lost money on. First of all let me say that aesthetically this is my favorite Disney movie and one of my favorite animated movies. Walt had his heart set on a very specific aesthetic for this movie and he refused to budge. A lot of the animators found the character designs too rigid and felt it made animation more difficult. The style is very sharp and angular compared to what they had been doing previously and it took a lot of adjusting. As for referencing an entire version of this was filmed in live action for reference purposes. Some of this footage can be seen here at 3:38: https://youtu.be/uCgxAag2Y6M The backgrounds were so detailed that at one point someone diluted them and softened them up so that they wouldn't detract from the animation (which I think is a shame) The cleanup team was so nervous about messing it up that at one time they were only producing one frame a day. I'm not sure if I ever really explained what you would have to do back then to make a multi-layered background for one of these movies but I think this is probably the best time to do that. This video is a quick run through of every step of the process: https://youtu.be/YdHTlUGN1zw Skip to the end if you just want to see the machine they used because it's insane. I can't imagine having to use one every time I wanted to move a background.

I've been waiting for this one. I can't wait to gush about this movie.
