So there are 2 National tournaments in a year. The Summer Interhigh, that's more at the beginning of the schoolyear and the Spring Tournament(the biggest tournament) pretty much at the end of the schoolyear. It used to be held in March, but it is now held in January to allow players in their third year to play in it, if they want. But I think there are other smaller tournaments as well, but they are just prefecture or regional tournaments. Like the one they were talking about in this episode, where Date tech crushed Karasuno. But I'm not from Japan so I can only vaguely tell you about how it really is from looking it up on the internet a little bit. And from Haikyuu of course, which keeps it pretty realistic.
