132 ( I'm not odd I promise)
Added 2024-10-02 03:29:03 +0000 UTCSince I now had qualifications I only had one more thing to do. I traveled toward Hagun Academy. It might be a bit reckless as my identity was still a rather large blank but I was not too concerned about what was going to happen in this world.
Don’t get me wrong the clashes of power that happen in this world are absolutely insane. With weapons Manipulating abstract concepts like wounds, transparency, dragon, and god for bid literally wish fulfillment. This world might masquerade itself as a base for a schoolyard tournament but the opponents in it are rather frightening.
Still, even knowing how out of my league I was here I could not help but feel giddy. My own power of probability manipulation is just as absurd as those monsters. In addition I always had Fortuna watching over me so even the fucker who has wish fulfillment could not actually do anything. The moment he decided to be beyond what I could handle was the moment he died.
I could even change the probability of him having a brain aneurysm this very second if I wanted to. The guy had no idea who I was so the attack would come out of nowhere. A powerful boy who could destroy the whole world if he wished it snuffed out. It would be the sensible thing to kill him but I held off on that.
While I was happy with Kárma Tis Týchis for the most part this world represented so much. As I learned from that arena battle I could copy the abilities of various Blazers when I got my eyes on them. So even if I wanted to take care of a rather concerning threat I wanted what he had even more.
It was not just the Wish Fulfillment boy either. There were so many targets available to me that I was salivating at the thought of meeting them. If I knew that his world was going to be the mission I would have volunteered even without the Gacha ticker at the end of this.
So I headed off to Hagun Academy feeling anticipation for what was to come. My identity was still a problem but my stats should really be something to look at. Stella was known as the Blazer with the most potential ever born as she had thirty times the mana of an average Blazer.
In a world where your Mana was dictated on the day of your birth, she was like a blazing star being born. Yet, I knew she was like a candle in comparison to me. My own Mana reserves might not be massive but they have grown constantly as I fought and expanded it. If I had to compare my Mana with the fighters I saw in that arena then I had nearly a hundred times what they had and it would only grow.
Seeing my massive amount of Mana the people in charge might point to a worrying scenario. A Despardo, a person who broke the chains of fate and walked the line between human and demon. Since they broke those chains they could expand their Mana cores with training. An absurd concept to this world and one that was hidden from the eyes of the general populace.
No one wanted people to try to become Despardos after all. If they did the world might be pushed into a rather desperate state.
They might not point at me being a Despardo but they would certainly think it.
Other than my absurd Mana my other stats would be crazy as well. My ability was also not something they could afford to ignore. So they would let me walk into their academy despite their doubts because having me underneath their eyes was better than me running and doing as I pleased.
Thankfully the academy was a well-known location and the guy I looted memories from had visited it once upon a time. I really was too lucky sometimes. I was going to teleport to the place but I had an amusing thought run through my head.
I brought out Kárma Tis Týchis and that bell-like laughter rang out once more. I caressed the blade softly before smiling and activating its ability.
The odds of me ending up in the director's office with my next step was 0.000000000000001. So I increased it to one hundred percent. My mana flared around me as I poured more and more Mana to make the impossible into reality.
I felt my knees grow weak but the smile on my face could not fade. I knew I was powerful but doing something like this would be….well it would be pleasant. Finally, after my Mana almost petered out my Ability enforced its will.
I took a hesitant step forward and I found myself stepping through a crack in space that suddenly opened up in front of me. The imposing sight of trembling space as the laws of reality were bent and made a bitch was interesting to see. I should be afraid of stepping into something like this but I knew I would be safe so I completed my step.
That step led me into a richly decorated office. Bright red carpet and a window facing an expansive campus. Awards and various diplomas were presented in a grand fashion.
Sitting in her seat by her desk was the director of this Academy. The World Clock Kurono Shinguuji. She was smoking and when she saw me entering she only raised a single delicate eyebrow as she resumed her smoking.
Even if my entrance was beyond common sense the woman in front of me was not ruffled for a moment. She had this quiet confidence about her that no matter what came about she could take care of it. I could understand where she was coming from as she could manipulate time and that was something very difficult to fight against.
She was wrong for taking me lightly but I could see why she did. From her perspective, I was just a young kid overstepping his bounds by barging into her office. She probably thought my ability was that crack in space I stepped through.
Impressive but not worth worrying about when she could Za World and beat my ass.
I bowed my head lightly and smiled at the smoking woman.
“My apologies for barging in on your Shinguuji-san.” I spoke out lightly showing the proper amount of respect for the person who would become my new headmaster.
That one was a bit of a shock I never expected I would ever find a headmaster that I was fine trusting. I suppose a headmaster from another world might as well work. She beat Dumbledore’s ass in too many areas to count after all.
Again there was quiet as she took in what was happening in front of her before she shrugged and put out her cigarette. I felt my lips twitch as I knew that was a sign of her taking me seriously or at least her treating me as a polite guest.
“Hmmmmm I would say it’s nice meeting you mystery man but that would be a lie. So what can I do for you?” Kurono spoke out lazily but there was a sharp glint in her eyes that gathered my interest.
“Fair, I would not appreciate being barged in on either. Well. I am a Blazer and I wish to enroll in this academy.” I spoke out firmly while watching her. She leaned back into her chair in a rather lazy fashion. Looking at me as if trying to examine everything about me.
“Is that it? That’s not really a reason for you to be here Mystery man. The academy is recruiting students right now, all you have to do is forward your application and you can join rather easily. There is no reason for you to wander in here.” She spoke out seriously but also like she was waiting for something.
I gave her a wry smile as she clearly knew something was up but she was not touching it just yet.
“That would be true for most students Shinguuji-san but I’m a rather complicated case. I figure I should show up and clear any misconceptions about myself. My name is Severus Prince and I am afraid my past will turn up a big fat blank no matter how hard you look Shinguuji-san.” I explained my presence not even trying to hide how weird I am. It was the whole reason I was here after all.
She looked at me before taking out another cigarette and lit it up before taking a puff. Again silence fell before us as she thought over what I said.
“Well, that’s interesting.” She spoke out softly but was still contemplating something.
“Very, but I assure you I am well worth the price of the hassle,” I spoke out with a glint in my eye. She snorted and rolled her eyes but made no other actions for a moment.
“I would assume so. So what are you Prince-san? An assassin trying to play it straight? A member of Rebellion trying to infiltrate the Academy? Or someone who regrets what they have done and replaced whatever history you had in shame?” She questioned with a sharp look in her eyes but made no move to do anything. She was testing me and looking for exactly what made me tick.
I gave her a bland smile in return that had her rolling her eyes again.
“I’m afraid that none of those apply to me Shinguuji-san. No, you will find that I have no history because I have none.” I spoke out with a shrug of my shoulders. I could see her tensing and she was probably going to grill me some more so I decided to cut to the chase.
“You see Shinguuji-san I’m a rather valuable asset to control. When I entered this room did you think my ability was teleportation or maybe something absurd like the manipulation of space? I can tell you that neither is true. My ability is far more than simple Space Manipulation. My ability is Probability Control. I appeared here simply because I changed the odds of it happening and the world answered.” I spoke out with a glint in my eyes and a shrug on my shoulders.
I was implying a lot that could not be proved. I was basically saying that the reason I had no history was because it was in someone’s best interest that I never got out of their grasp. Basically I was lying out of my ass but not actually lying. It’s not my fault if she pieced together an imperfect picture from her own thoughts.
I told her already bold and true that the reason I had no records was that I simply had none.
She narrowed her eyes at me and examined me from a different angle. I gave her a bland smile as she went over her own thoughts.
It was not like my ability was too far out of the ordinary here. Blazers came into three types. The first is the manipulation of the Blazers weapon for example the size of it or the hardness of it. A pretty bland comparison to the other categories but that was understandable.
After the first, you had where the good stuff came in. The manipulation of a concept. Usually, it is an elemental concept like water or fire but there are strange ones that outclass the norm like gravity and time in Kurono’s case. This is usually where the bread and butter of the Blazer community ends up.
Finally, you had the most abstract and the most absurd. The manipulation of fate. As you can imagine anyone born in that category outclasses the other three types by a mile. It can rank from good luck, bad luck, and in my case the manipulation of probability itself. It’s hard to defend against an opponent who can simply say you are dead and the world complies with their order.
If a Blazer is a one in a thousand existence then the third category falls into one in a billion of those thousand.
That is not to say those in the third category are invincible. A Despardo is someone who breaks fate after all. So those who defy fate can play with the third category as they please.
I was honestly a little afraid of meeting a Despardo as they can defy fate and I wonder if Fortuna could protect me against them. She had been my greatest protection and the one thing that I had always thought would be there. Yet, I find myself facing the possibility of fighting those who could ignore her manipulations.
I was not looking forward to it but I think I could handle it.
Finally, Kurono broke the tension in the room.
“I see.” It was simple words but I could already tell that I had gotten my place in this school as I wished. I looked over at her with a bland smile now all I had to do was see her in action and I could gain another powerful ability.
