A Message to My Dear Subscribers

Hello to you, my dear kittens! I can't tell you how much I love you and how much I appreciate your support!

I've been putting this post off for a long time, but today I realized I had to share the news. They are partly related to politics - many of you already know what they are about, because you know what country I live in.

So, to the point. Tonight PayPal shut down services and support in the country where I live. Along with PayPal, other services through which I could receive payment from abroad left us.

This means that as of this moment I can't receive fees from you for commissions or your subscriptions. Very sad for me as it was my leading source of income XD

However, the money you send remains in my Patreon account. Chances are they won't go anywhere. And, when the situation gets better, (in a month, or a year) I will be able to withdraw those funds and finally eat XD

So I will stubbornly continue my work for Patreon. I've invested in it, there are people here who love my creativity, and I'm not going to give up! In other words for you everything will stay the same.

The country where I live has already blocked Twitter. It may also block Patreon. But for people who don't give a damn about politics, mankind invented VPNs. And even if a blocking happens, I will use it and everything will be as it was before XD

Now about the commissions. As you've already understood, I can't receive commission from client via means of payment (banks in the country where I live are under sanctions). In other words, I can't accept orders.

But I would like to do that.

So far I have only come up with one idea. I could create a level on Patreon specifically for ordering. Levels on Patreon imply a monthly fee. However, the user has the option to disable the monthly fee, and thus the level could become a one-time fee.

This is not the most convenient way, but it is at least something. If you have any ideas about it, I'd love to hear them XD Actually, that's one of the reasons why I'm publishing this post.

Now about my attitude to it. You're probably wondering what I think about this whole war situation.

First, and most importantly, you must understand that I cannot speak out directly because it is a criminal offense in "the country where I live. People lose 15 years in prison for speaking out.

However, I will say something.

I understand why sanctions are imposed on my country. I understand why sanctions are imposed on the citizens of "the country where I live," and I understand what they want to achieve. The politicians want us to take to the streets and have a civil war.

I am an artist. My husband is a writer. We are both artists and people of peace, we love the whole world in general, not just where we were born. And we will never take up arms or spill anyone's blood. And we won't pick up virtual weapons, and we won't be weapons in the wrong hands. And we don't want to live in a country where civil war is blazing. And we don't want a civil war blazing anywhere.

We want peace.

They put us in jail for protesting. And before that, they're being subdued by force. I don't want to become a revolutionary and take part in all this. I am a weak girl, not a warrior. And I am not a revolutionary, and I will not allow myself to be used for politics.

Even in the face of the threat of starvation, I will remain apolitical!

In other words, I will not support this blackmail.))

Of course I don't support the "special operation" and what came before it either. It's a very old story, believe me.

Today my neighbors and I are caught between a hammer and anvil. We are hostages of politicians who don't care about us for thirty years. The best thing we could have done was run away. But I didn't have time to change my citizenship, and now it's too late to do so. I'm happy for those people who managed to leave, and I understand why they did it.

I love the people of the whole earth, and even those who are misguided. Although I try to stay away from some, and love them at a distance XD

What I plan to do. I'm going to keep painting as long as I breathe. I will draw for anyone who is interested. And even if someone hates me, I will draw for them as well. God created people of art to give us hope, light and a smile. That is what I will continue to do.

In the past my husband and I have made designer clothes for rhythmic gymnasts in Germany and Canada. Now it is impossible to do that. Our atelier is ceasing to exist.  Alas, I feel sorry for those girls.

However, now I have even more free time! I can still paint! I can still continue to defy sanctimony and hypocrisy, and create beautiful things. For you. If I don't get paid for it right now... or ever... well, that's a test of how much of an artist I am XD.

I will post my work here, I will post my work on Twitter. If I can find another venue that is comfortable for me, I will post my drawings there as well.

I'm staying with you. I'm forced to choose. Well, I choose my drawings and my subscribers)))

Nothing will change for you, the drawings will continue to be published. I know that many artists from my country have already given up. I, on the other hand, will continue to work as before. Maybe even more than before.
