Terminator 2 UNEDITED REACTION (early access)

Comments

Also, James recognized the cast of Aliens in Terminator 1. Did you catch the one in Terminator 2? She played marine Vasquez in Aliens and she was John’s foster mom in T2.

I actually wish you guys would do Terminator 3 and 4. T3 is the weakest of the four movies but it’s not bad. It has some call backs to the first movie and shows how the war started. The upgrades on the Terminator between 2 and 3 are good. Terminator Salvation is better. Christian Bale’s John Connor is what you would expect a rebel leader to be. And it sort of wraps up Kyle Reese’s part of the story.

I loved this reaction! Definitely an iconic movie! I was a teen when this came out, and I wasn't that into action movies at that age, but I absolutely LOVED this one!

I also didn't see the first movie before seeing this one. I don't remember how, but somehow, I didn't realize it was a sequel. I went in blind, and when I saw it, it was great. But later, I went and saw the first one, then I watched this one again, and I fell in love with it. And Sara's character arc from the first movie to this one is epic. It's one of the greatest character arcs I've ever seen. She's such a badass, and I feel like it's much more powerful if you've seen the first film, witnessing what she used to be. In the scene with the guard at the hospital, the one the T-1000 copied, had an identical twin. When you see the two versions of the guard in the scene, there really are two of him. In addition, in the scene where Sara is watching the younger version of herself with her son in the dream, then again when there are two Saras on screen in that final scene, the younger/other "her" is Linda Hamilton's identical twin. So you could say there really are two Saras there. LOL Yes, James Cameron directed both films. I agree one hundred percent, the special effects in this film are freaking amazing. Even for today they look incredible and hold up extremely well. And John Dogget, the T-1000 actor did an incredible job. I always loved the way he runs, so robotic and expressionless, seeming to never get out of breath or tired. It's funny how he's so much smaller and scrawnier than Arnold, but he still manages to seem so chilling and threatening. As far as Ninetailbrush's question about how the T-1000 went through time when in the first movie Kyle said nothing dead goes through. So, here's my thought on that. When there is skin and organs with the metal of a Terminator, that's how the non-living parts of the Terminator get through, right? That's how Arnold got through in both films, even though his skeleton is metal. So, when the T-1000 gets sent through, what if Skynet figured out a way to trick the system into thinking he's the same as Arnold, OR, there's something in the makeup of the metal that when it mirrors human skin, it fools the system into thinking it's real skin? He's so advanced that he doesn't register as non-living. There might be an actual canonical reason, and I'm just talking out of my ass, though. I'd be interested to hear any explanations anyone else has. I also really love the theme music in this movie. It's basically the same as the one in the first film, but it's been modernized, and I like this version better. A truly gorgeous score that always gives me chills. Fantastic reaction, guys. So happy to have had the chance to watch it with you. Keep 'em coming, boys.

Raven Dark

Awesome reaction guys! If you want to skip T3 and Salvation, Genesis isn't bad, but Dark Fate is great! And Linda Hamilton reprises her role in it and she's epic!

Wow, thanks so much! I enjoyed this reaction. I think this is my favorite action movie. So glad to watch it again. :D
