It's not even about the point tbh, Marvel has a problem with villains not really having a point just some vague I like power, money, stuff...So when Kilmonger shows up with an actual purpose, it's so refreshing!!
2021-10-20 16:29:06 +0000 UTCKillmonger is one of the strongest MC villains because he has a strong point and it feeds into T'Challa's growth. The problem is that he takes his anger to the absolute extreme and T'Challa has to learn that inaction can cause that kind of desperation

2021-10-20 04:26:41 +0000 UTCIn case anyone doesn't get this, Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis are the only white characters in the film making them "Token" and they were both stars of the Lord of the Rings film series making them "Tolkein" (the author of the series). It's hysterical, I promise.

2021-10-20 00:53:37 +0000 UTCHalfway through this movie in theatres, my partner laughs outloud to himself and is in a fit for a solid two minutes before leaning over to whisper to me that Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis were the "Tolkein white guys!" To this day it remains the funniest pun I've ever seen anyone just come up with on the spot. haha
