2021-10-17 22:37:26 +0000 UTCI'm so, so glad you guys did 'Cinderella'....I've literally only seen 3 mins but regarding how they did the backgrounds, I pretty sure they painted on what they called "Cels" which is like transparent paper...then they would layer them. I had some brief education on the history of cinema but it's all a blur now hahaha. I think the layering concept of Cels could have come from Theatre where sets/ backdrops were layered cause before cinema, stories were mainly told on stage. I got to see some real Cels and the effort they used to put in is just amazing. I know it's time consuming but this style of animation is so rich and timeless. I love it :)
