I think ‘Red Dragon’ is actually a remake of ‘Manhunter’. The original book was called ‘Red Dragon’ (I believe but am not 100% sure). The author’s name is Thomas Harris.

I would recommend you guys watch Red Dragon some time, I actually saw that movie before this one, I was late in the game to watching this one. Red Dragon is the 3rd installment of the series, now there is Hannible and I've never seen that one but you don't have to see that movie at all to watch Red Dragon, I wasn't confused at all and can't remember if they even reference that movie once. Can't wait for Scream! It's definitely a classic for a reason and I think you guys will get why pretty quickly.

BTW, that scene where Bill asks for help because he had a broken arm, etc was Ted Bundy's real modus operandi to lure women. Creepy.
