Although 'quaint and charming', Danielle's father had a large estate and was fairly rich comparatively - even just in the acreage he owned and operated (as you mentioned, he has a staff). And you missed it because of your analysis but when the step mother was talking to Danielle about not knowing her mother, Danielle asked her if she loved her father (sensing a moment of vulnerability in her) to which the step mother replied "I barely knew him."

(And no weird workarounds needed...just one app and one setting). No issues watching along on my phone and I can put my laptop back where it goes (instead of trying to carry it around with me while I watch/listen). Can't even express how pleased I am that the new format has no bearing on "ability to enjoy" as I was worried it would! (Plus you know...I love this movie and all.) You're my favorite channel with the most variety and I'm so glad you're keeping on!
