There are still tons of Patreon reactors who show the entire movie without issue. You just have to put it on Vimeo behind a password that you only give to subscribers. Throw the link up on your Patreon page (where only subscribers can see it and get the password). Look into how ItsAPrimate and RicoReacts does it.

Some reactors do syncing really well, others less so. A few things I think make a huge difference are: - Being clear about what platform/version you're using for each video - Using a title card/logo screen as the starting point (may be a few seconds in) so it's clear what image you should see on your screen - Actually counting down to start (e.g. "3, 2, 1, PLAY") - Providing both both forward & backward (countdown) timestamps, if possible

I’ve been years seeing reactors and they all post the full video one way or another, just a few have had problems, in not a reactor so I don’t have any idea but the best is to ask other reactors what they do without risk!!

I think their point is ( and I could be wrong haha) regardless how they post the reaction it violates fair use as their video includes the full length movie.

Will this affect this week's reactions to Ever After , Reaction Commission's and Animator Reacts .

Most reactors just have a picture then drop the link of the full reaction below like post it on google driv,Dropbox and onedrive

Oh well… too good to last I guess. I never watch anything you post unless I also own or have access to the movie, and often have to watch on my phone which won’t allow for simultaneous video playback. So, it will definitely be more difficult to watch. But I know you guys need to protect yourselves more than I need entertainment!

Is it the video being posted that's the issue? Most reactors I watch just post a picture of the episode/movie and a link to the reaction, but I'm not a professional in this area. Have you considered just posting a pic here and having your patrons join a Discord where you could post the links/videos? Might take linkage issues on Patreon away by just posting the Discord invite where unedited reactions can be accessed. I hope you get this sorted out. I know there are ways past this, because other reactors do. Goodluck! It'll all work out.

If you could keep the audio and just get rid if the video I'd be able to watch a muted version of the movie on my TV. That'd probably be the best way to go about it.

Not when you post a licensed full length movie. All it takes is the movie execs to contact patreon and they would be suspended, better to be safe.

Pretty sure commentary and criticism is protected by Fair Use. Certainly the animator reacts would be, as the animator of the pair talks often about art style and animation choices.

I'm trying to download the videos I would like to keep, but some of them won't let me. When I try, it says download blocked. Is there any way to fix that?

This is fine . Having it with blurred video and no audio from the movie is fine . Just as long as you guys keep on doing what you are doing is alright with me .

Ive been on many reaction channels and having a watch along style isnt really that bad as long as you give us some easy ways to sync it. I just feel bad for future patreons who will come for some full reactions of some long running series like the mcu and death note just to see half of them gone

For those who are as upset about copyright laws and how it affects YouTube creators, I would suggest donating or volunteering for the Electronic Frontier Foundation (eff.org). They have been advocating for better copyright laws (cright laws were created a long time ago and didn’t really take into account the modern online community) and also a more just copyright strike system (their site has a pretty good break down of how YouTube’s infringement enforcement is extremely biased towards large companies).

These laws are so ridiculous. I will never understand how the film industry can't understand that reaction videos brings new interest to their work and/or renews interest from old fans. Not only does it create a revenue stream for reaction content creators, but it also benefits the original creators. It feels like a mindset of, "If I can't have it all, then no one can have it". I'm really sorry you're dealing with this, especially how careful you guys have been to adhere to the youtube legality. I guess patreon is not the legal haven for content we all want to to be :/

I believe that fair use does allow you to post a certain amount of footage. You might want to reach out to other reactors like The Normies or Semblance of Sanity, as I believe they both had to deal with copyright legal issues and have found ways to keep reacting while complying with the law

I definitely like the option where you have the video up but blurred without audio, so we can see if our own copy is synced up. Just a timestamp is a little harder to sync to.

I despise copyright laws. Bunch of party poopers :( . I suppose you can just do without video and hopefully we can watch Netflix etc and sync up with your reactions. Pain in the arse because I really like your setup/screen layout as is.

Not sure if its much help but one of the other reaction youtubers I watch uploads his full length reactions to a Google drive and posts the links on patron. As far as I'm aware, he's still able to upload full length reactions with the video. But either way, if you guys have to stop putting in the video then I definitely agree with just giving us a timestamp to sync up our movie with yours. A lot of other reactors do this and it's been working out pretty well for them. I'm sure the majority of people here are here for your guys' reactions/reviews anyways, not the movies. Good luck :)

Oh so sorry to hear you are having problems! Have you thought of using Sync? Other reactors use it for unedited reactions amd it seems to work very smoothly for all parties involved! Hope that helps... Good luck with the issues! :)

What most do is do a sync up at the start and we have our own copy going to sync up to yours. Let us know what copy you are doing if it is like an extended version etc. After about 20-30 seconds to allow the viewer to sync it correctly, most cut off audio of movie and blur the image or remove it completely. I prefer it when they completely blur it just because then we can ensure we stay syncd plus that allows us an area to put a pop up video so we aren't covering you guys. I would be more than happy to send screen shots so you guys can see how other reactors do it but would have to email them as I don't think I can here. I've helped a couple other reactors set up their sync style and would be happy to help you guys as well. Just let me know.
