Just one note, though, I can't remember if you've seen the original Friday the 13th, but there's a major spoiler for that movie early on in the first Scream movie - may want to watch Friday the 13th first if you were planning on reacting to that. Scream references a lot of classic horror, but I think that's the only major spoiler for a movie you haven't reacted to yet.

2021-09-24 21:14:30 +0000 UTCI like Hannibal Lecter as a horror villian because he represents something visceral and primal that lives in each of us . He also represents what a real psychopathic killer looks like . Reality is much more terrifying then the supernatural and a slasher film .

2021-09-24 20:00:53 +0000 UTCYes Effie red dragon is excellent its a remake of manhunter from 1989 starring Brian Cox as Hannibal Lecture a brilliant performance from him very different from Sir Anthony Hopkins performance but both excellent its also directed by Michael Mann well worth watching.

2021-09-24 19:41:02 +0000 UTCI was hoping for The Thing aswell. Then Poltergeist, then Scream. Unfortunately SOTL was last for me. Not that it's a terrible movie, it's great with iconic performances. It's just more of a psychological thriller than a horror. But it was definitely dark! Especially how Hannibal was in control of everything, including Clarice. Everyone was just puppets on strings to him. Very creepy! I do hope they get to all of them eventually!
