Being a female myself I can't say I had taken any offence to your choices for reactions or noticed any bias. Surely you can only be going by popular demand anyway so it is more on us than you which films are suggested for reactions. Either way I had recently been thinking I haven's seen many people react to Thelma and Louise (which would fit the bill here) so thought I'd throw the suggestion out there for the possible future. Another strongly female led film is Erin Brockovitch. But I would say keep going as you are because you are clearly doing something right (the numbers speak for themselves) and sadly some people just don't realise the difference between constructive criticism and being plain mean.

I haven't actually watched any of your videos in a week or so, just because nothing jumped out at me, I have supported many other reaction patreons and understand that not every upload is for me. I am a patreon first and foremost because I want to support small creators not because I expect every video to be something I will watch. I have no problem with people suggesting more female leads whatever I'm down, people can suggest whatever they want, but no one should be implying it is a reflection of your character if you don't react to a movie suggested (I don't know the context just seen your comments). Sometimes people forget your human beings and feel they are in a position to make judgements or assumptions about you when in reality they know you guys through your content not personally and wouldn't do so in real life aha don't sweat it! Remember this is meant to be enjoyable for you! You are not our employee 🤣🤣 you create the content and have fun doing it, I'll be here to support!

Hey Mariah! I think they meant to make a poll combining popular movies with female leads and popular movies with male leads. There are four of each :)

A lot of these don't have female leads, having a love interest is not a female lead.

I hadn't complained about the lack of female leads but a lot of these don't have female leads - they may have intriguing side characters who are ladies but I think you gotta redo this if you want female leads. I know it's not the easiest because the film industry hasn't supported stories with female protagonists on average but you can still find better options.

It never dawned on me at the lack of female protagonists. A good movie is a good movie. So I'd not pay attention. But Gone with the Wind is such a classic. I think it was my first analysis paper. Some Wizard of Oz cant hurt vibes either lol

I'm just going to say something that I might get some hate on... If you're trying to hate on the option given in the poll, you guys are trippin'! These guys try to cater to so many genres on their channel, I'm not even kidding! I came here for HP, but I have stayed for how respectful they are for the other things I love (musicals, disney animation, chick flick, etc...) They are so respectful towards us, their public, that they don't even hate on movies when we clearly see it was not their preference (eg. Mamma Mia). That is why even though they have reactions for shows I'm not exactly a fan/have not watched (death note/the cabin/jujutsen/kubo), I will let their videos play on YouTube even though I'm not watching. These guys are great at what they do, so I'm willing to support them at their greatness, even when I don't want to get spoilers!

honestly it's weird that you guys have gotten comments on this? you react to so many different genres so to classify a movie as "female-led" like that's its own genre is super strange because it's not? i mean i didn't see whatever comment this was in response to either so i'm not sure what it said, but i've never gotten any kind of feeling like what you're watching is solely male-centric (even if it was, so much of hollywood and cinema IS male-centric, there's really no avoiding it like especially with superhero movies/action movies/classic films), or that any of your actions have been with malicious intent. to each their own i guess, but it's not easy to put out such a steady stream of reactions for such a wide range of content, so if someone wants to see you react to something specifically female-led they should probably make a reaction request y'know? weird to put it all on you or whatever.

I honestly don't think anyone intended to imply that there was malicious intent. Some people just weren't really being felt heard. One of the things that I love most about this channel is that you obviously care a lot and are constantly seeking feedback. That being said, some voices that have spoken out recently didn't really get actively acknowledged. That is not to say that they weren't heard, but it might have been somewhat hard to tell.

If reactions skew towards male-centric films I think that's 100% reflective of the film industry and obviously not any ill-intent from you guys. It must tough to find a balance between watching films everyone wants you to see vs. making sure you actually enjoy it enough to not disappoint people. One of my favorite reactions you did was Little Women because you genuinely seemed to like it so much! As someone else said above, sure, it'd be fun to see more, but I've always enjoyed your content regardless.

Idk why people feel the need to create drama. Although representation is important, it doesn’t always matter whether a film is female or male led, especially when it comes to what kind of content you guys put out on your channel. Male led movie, female led movie, doesn’t matter to me. You guys like what you like, and that’s okay. So long as it’s a good movie or show and you guys enjoy it, that’s all that matters. You guys are great! For the poll, I hope Ever After wins as it is such a good film and the acting in it is superb.

I think representation in movies is very important, and I think this list is great. I love every movie but Ever After wins it for me.

I don’t care about representation onscreen. If a movie is good, it’s good. One of my favorite movies is “toy soldiers” where a terrorist takes an all boys boarding school hostage. It’s a freaking great movie. It’s not widely reacted to as far as i can tell, but it’s great.

People just like to be dramatic. Avatar is an absolutely beautiful move, and is an all time favorite of mine The design and music is stunning! The Truman Show though is an amazing classic. Great story line.

I'm always missing all the drama in the community for some reason but all I want to say is that I'm sorry it happened & while I'm always here for more female led media I, along with most of your fans I hope, don't think you lot are too much of a "boys only club" at all & I tottally agree with you on the 'not your monkeys' statement as well. You watch movies & we pay you if we want to, if you no longer entertain us (for whatever reason) we can always stop paying, no one is or should be forced to do anything they don't want to do & that goes for both us & you. Lastly this might be a bad time to do this but I actually have some suggestions (so obviously tottally up to you if you end up doing them or not just wanna make it clear that I'm not trying to pressure you in anyway) for later reactions (as I'm sure your very busy right now & I don't want you guys over working yourselves). 1- Marie Antoinette : a 2006 movie staring Kirsten Dunst by female director Sofia Coppola & the 2006 BBC mini serise of Jane Eyre based on the famous 1847 novel by female writer Charlotte Brontë (that'll please some of the fans) & while I love Studio Ghibli as much as any anime fan I've rescently realised that all our gushing over Hayao Miyazaki's work might lead you to miss out on other just as wonderful anime movies like The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars, Your Name & Weathering With You. I appoliges if you have mentioned somewhere that you have already seen all of these or if you stated (for whatever reason) that you will not react to these as I don't keep up with all your updates & are in fact running behind on serval of your reactions (life has just been a bit busy latley). Regardless of what you do or don't do or your future plans though I hope you enjoy whatever you watch next, stay safe.

any noticeable lack of female led movies is mostly because there are way less female led movies in general compared to male led movies, especially classics, nothing else. people can ask for more options with female leads, but if anyone is insinuating shit then they obviously haven't actually been watching y'all cause you've never been anything but open and enthusiastic. as a woman, yeah, i'd love to see it. but it's never impeded my enjoyment of your channel before. love your guys' energy, sorry you have to deal with jerks like this
