Besides the point but do keep in mind that restaurant guests are choosing from a menu . They may have great taste or are good chef’s them selves . But the menu serves its purpose. If 140 guests all order there personal favorites nobody in the whole restaurant wil ever get served on time or get the attention the dish deserves. So my advice is enjoy the meal and leave some constructive criticism if needed , next time the chef will be much more in tune with your taste. Or maybe just try something new once in a while. :).

See I really love The Godfather and I know it’s going to get the reaction it deserves. But I don’t mind waiting for it. It’s a movie I need to be in the mood for, I don’t want to watch it 2 often and spoil the magic. Some movies deserve to be savored and have a craving for it before watching . Let the hunger build a bit. It’s going to be so much sweeter.

Rear Window is also fantastic guys. Like a great solid film. Arguably more concise fun than FG and TG.

Oh nooo not Forrest Gump, problematic and messy script and somehow won Best Pic over both Pulp Fiction and The Shawshank Redemption. Alright it's popular so fine, but I have not been aligning with most of these polls

I to would love a reaction to The Trueman Show (still can't believe it was originally sold as a comedy when the concept of the whole movie is so messsed up) & Funny Girl would also be nice though it's been years since I watched it so idk wether it'd really be your's & Nine Tail Brush's thing.

I agree, that's why I hope one day they can do another poll with classics that rotate through different genres so that films from 1940s/50s get a chance....they will never win against later films. Right now I don't mind so much cause the 90s had some of the best films...I voted 'Rear Window' but 'Forrest Gump' is also excellent so still happy about that at least :)

in general nostalgia favorites like forest gump will win out over actual classic masterpieces made in the 50s/60s/70s like the godfather. they'll get around to it eventually though!

I hope they get around to watching Ladyhawke and Little Lord Fauntleroy at some point, but some of the lists other people have posted are awesome and should also be included in future polls.

Y'all Kyoko Y. list up there is impeccable but adding here some older classics would also be any movie led by Marilyn Monroe, Katharine Hepburn or Audrey Hepburn. What about Roman Holiday? Sabrina? Adam’s Rib? Breakfast at Tiffanys? Gentlemen Prefer Blondes? Bringing Up Baby? The Philadelphia Story?? There you have real old classics

The oldies will probably never win, but please keep including true classics on your lists! I have to hope they will get their day eventually.
