2021-09-17 18:17:20 +0000 UTCBesides the point but do keep in mind that restaurant guests are choosing from a menu . They may have great taste or are good chef’s them selves . But the menu serves its purpose. If 140 guests all order there personal favorites nobody in the whole restaurant wil ever get served on time or get the attention the dish deserves. So my advice is enjoy the meal and leave some constructive criticism if needed , next time the chef will be much more in tune with your taste. Or maybe just try something new once in a while. :).
2021-09-15 23:04:40 +0000 UTCSee I really love The Godfather and I know it’s going to get the reaction it deserves. But I don’t mind waiting for it. It’s a movie I need to be in the mood for, I don’t want to watch it 2 often and spoil the magic. Some movies deserve to be savored and have a craving for it before watching . Let the hunger build a bit. It’s going to be so much sweeter.
2021-09-15 22:49:24 +0000 UTCRear Window is also fantastic guys. Like a great solid film. Arguably more concise fun than FG and TG.

2021-09-15 22:03:45 +0000 UTCOmg HOW is The Godfather losing againn 🥺

2021-09-15 22:00:38 +0000 UTCYes of course, they also have like 40 options so their bound to make most people happy
2021-09-15 17:53:22 +0000 UTCProbably for the same reason I love it the slow build of the suspence Hitchcock at his best truly edge of your seat brilliance. But it wont win Megan.

2021-09-15 17:26:03 +0000 UTCYeah, Forest Gump has not aged well at all.
2021-09-15 17:23:44 +0000 UTCMe either seen Forest Gump but in my opinion there are much better films on the poll I personally voted for rear window.

2021-09-15 17:22:03 +0000 UTCOh nooo not Forrest Gump, problematic and messy script and somehow won Best Pic over both Pulp Fiction and The Shawshank Redemption. Alright it's popular so fine, but I have not been aligning with most of these polls

2021-09-15 17:12:40 +0000 UTCThese are FANTASTIC
2021-09-15 11:07:54 +0000 UTCI to would love a reaction to The Trueman Show (still can't believe it was originally sold as a comedy when the concept of the whole movie is so messsed up) & Funny Girl would also be nice though it's been years since I watched it so idk wether it'd really be your's & Nine Tail Brush's thing.
2021-09-15 09:02:30 +0000 UTCI agree, that's why I hope one day they can do another poll with classics that rotate through different genres so that films from 1940s/50s get a chance....they will never win against later films. Right now I don't mind so much cause the 90s had some of the best films...I voted 'Rear Window' but 'Forrest Gump' is also excellent so still happy about that at least :)

2021-09-15 08:08:02 +0000 UTCin general nostalgia favorites like forest gump will win out over actual classic masterpieces made in the 50s/60s/70s like the godfather. they'll get around to it eventually though!
2021-09-15 07:18:18 +0000 UTCI hope they get around to watching Ladyhawke and Little Lord Fauntleroy at some point, but some of the lists other people have posted are awesome and should also be included in future polls.

2021-09-15 06:15:57 +0000 UTCDamn I never seen Forest Gump but it better be the best movie in the world after spanking The Godfather 🤣🤣

2021-09-15 05:41:27 +0000 UTCIn the Hitchcock realm, in addition to Rear Window I would add Vertigo and The Birds as future hopefuls.

2021-09-15 02:14:15 +0000 UTCLooks like Forrest Gump is gonna win this one but I recommend The Godfather 1 and 2 (number 3 is up to you). 2021-09-15 02:14:01 +0000 UTCI've been suggesting Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and My Fair Lady (love Marilyn and Audrey!) ... Breakfast at Tiffany's would be devine too. I hope they get to them sometime 😊
Kristin Carter
2021-09-15 01:58:46 +0000 UTCY'all Kyoko Y. list up there is impeccable but adding here some older classics would also be any movie led by Marilyn Monroe, Katharine Hepburn or Audrey Hepburn. What about Roman Holiday? Sabrina? Adam’s Rib? Breakfast at Tiffanys? Gentlemen Prefer Blondes? Bringing Up Baby? The Philadelphia Story?? There you have real old classics
2021-09-15 01:25:22 +0000 UTCThe oldies will probably never win, but please keep including true classics on your lists! I have to hope they will get their day eventually.

Zach Winters
2021-09-15 00:44:49 +0000 UTCForest Gump all the way!! Also, I know you have to be a part of a higher tier to make recommendations but A Bronx Tale is a really amazing movie if you ever get the chance to watch it :)
2021-09-15 00:39:02 +0000 UTCRear Window is my favorite Hitchcock! I'm not sure why I love it, but I do!
Megan the Librarian
2021-09-15 00:38:45 +0000 UTCI was hoping you would put The Music Man on the poll again. Oh well... one day, I hope.
