You guys have really interesting insight on movies. Thank you for being there for me through getting into Grad School. Nothing scarier than that. Lol jk, hmm I voted for Gremlins just because I couldn’t make it through without laughing my head off. If I were to add more suggestions (ontop of the many that are probably being given to you) I would say the scariest movies I’ve seen are probably the ones that you can’t guess what’s going to happen and leave you wondering for days after. For some reason, the Spanish mysteries/psychological thrillers do this particularly well. Like The Invisible Guest (2016) and Mama (2013). Although, Mama might be considered more of a horror film. I REALLY want to also mention Marrowbone (2017) which isn't in Spanish but also makes you rethink familial devotion, and/or The Secret in Their Eyes (2009), but these are maybe best for another time lol. . .

So excited for all the upcoming Halloween movies! I hope you consider The Crow. I always have to watch it starting at like 11-11:30pm October 30th so when it ends, it’s Halloween. Kinda like the movie timeline lol

A good old fashion Halloween movie. With Cary Grant is 'Arsenic and Old Lace'. Highly recommend I watch it every year. One of my favorites.

I remeber the Exorcism of Emily Rose being a good one. A little different as it has a court case involved and I believe it may be inspired by true events.

Can’t wait to see what we are going to watch. Let me throw out a wildcard for you. As classics go in anime try “ Blood the last vampire “ it’s feels like a classic horror movie mixed with seven . Great animation style. The plot plays out on an American school in Japan during Halloween . Can’t get any more on topic I guess… it’s made by the same studio that gave us Ghost in the Shell. Animation is top notch.

Coraline, Monster House & 9 would be great animated ones especially 9

'The Mist', based on Stephen King, is really good too.

Since you already watched the original Halloween and wasn't the biggest fan, I would suggest The Thing. It's slow at times, but the practical effects are amazing.

I've always wanted to see if "Poltergeist" (1982) still holds up today. It really creeped me out back then. And I haven't seen anyone do a reaction to it yet.
