It's probably for the Best that his Father doesn't Know Light is Kira. It be too heart breaking for him. His Father's death was one of the saddest moments in this show :(
2021-08-26 03:01:47 +0000 UTCAnd about a lot people saying the show has gotten worse after L's death. i certainly had the same feeling when i watched the show for the first time. But now I rewatch with you guys, i start to see it differently. The change is kinda inevitable with the introduction of two new protagonists. Otherwise the show would be repeating itself if it goes in the direction in which N and M investigate from the beginning with no clues like L did. It wouldn't be as interesting and intense. So they are working on the case with a lot of information already granted and we would feel like we are seeing less of battle of wits moments. On the other hand, Light has reached another level of his God-complex. For a few years, he has had no rival. His evil side has completely been unleashed. So i would say now it's a different kind of battle. Not just testing/acting along/gathering info/trying to find out who is kira and how he kills, we have all those info on the table already. Now it's the confrontation part, to bring the criminal behind this godly power into light. In this regard, i think these last few episodes are still interesting and hopefully you guys would enjoy as well.

2021-08-26 02:43:06 +0000 UTCI think you guys missed a few things in this episode. The reason light couldnt kill mello is because he doesnt know what mello looks like. A pre-caution Near did last episode by saying he didn't own any picture of Mello. Also, light was using his dad from the beginning of this episode. Thats why he gave up the ownership of the death note again. So that when the dad got the eyes, he could see light's life span and confirm that he is not kira.
