More tour dates!!! Cass returns early!!

Hey friends,

Hope you’re all hanging in there. I am thinking about walking into the ocean again. :) <paragraph of complaining deleted because who cares ultimately!!!!>

Thinking about this banger btw.

I accidentally toggled tomorrow’s Gender Conceal episode from “schedule” to “publish” so it’s available now for anyone bored on a Sunday afternoon! This episode makes me so happy. I love to hang out with my friend for my job, and I think Cass has many smart responses to your questions! We mostly talk about parenting, podcasting, autism, academia, and Minnesota, so hopefully you are interested in at least one of those five topics???

Speaking of Cass, he’s going to be joining me on one of the Sex Change and the City tour stops and it’s going to be sooooo fun imo! In fact, I’ve got a bunch of new tour dates to announce and they are all happening SOON!!!

[Before I get into this, yes I feel deeply unwell promoting Sex and the City book events when all this is happening!!!!!! IDK lol!!!!!!!!!]

The official SCATC launch party is happening on Wed, Nov. 5, which is technically before the book even comes out! I’ll be in Philly at Wooden Shoe Books chatting with Kelsey McKinney of Normal Gossip fame. This one has very limited space, so please RSVP here so I can make sure we have space for everyone! (I’ll also be at Tattooed Mom after if you wanna hang.)

As previously mentioned, I will be in Chicago at Skunk Cabbage Books on Sunday, Nov 9! This one is also very small so RVSP here. I’ll be chatting with Gender Reveal alum Vera Blossom, plus we’ll have short fun readings by 1-2 SCATC contributors!

The next day, Nov 10, I’ll be at Moon Palace Books in Minneapolis chatting with Cass!!! It’s going to be so fun for us and I hope it will also be fun for you??? This one actually has RSVPs required so RSVP here.

The day after that, Nov 11, LittlePuss Press and Girl Dad Press are teaming up for an iconic trans lit crossover event called SEX CHANGE FROM HELL! We will be celebrating Gendertrash From Hell & Sex Change and the City with a ‘90s-themed bash (featuring a performance by Harron Walker & Alex Bedder, Cat Fitzpatrick & I trying to interview each other, and moooore). No RSVP, just show up to Starr Bar in Brooklyn around 8pm!

The very next day, Nov 12, I’m doing a Zoom event with WeHo Reads, featuring Charlie Jane Anders and M. M. Olivas! It’s 9:30-11pm ET (help!!) which is 6:30-8pm PT. RSVP here!

As mentioned, I also have two West Coast dates scheduled: On Mon, Nov 17, I will be at Elliott Bay Book Co in Seattle, chatting with Serena Hommes! I am honored that Elliott Bay invited me so please come and please bring friends!!!!

(THEN there will be a Portland event, I’m working on it!!! Trying to cook up something special and it may or may not happen but SOMETHING will happen surely!!! Also hoping to make it to Boston and Baltimore or DC someday but like… when lol.)

And finally, on Thurs, Oct 20, I will be chatting with Soleil Ho at Local Economy in Oakland! This one also has limited space — RSVP here!

OKAY THAT WAS SO MUCH I’M SORRY AND I APPRECIATE YOU!!!!!! If I haven’t said this already, these events all have a “hanging out” element so please come hang out in community if that’s something that sounds nice to you, xoxoxo.

Feels like I have more to say but I’ve already said so much so here's some Links & Stuff:

That’s it for this week. Here’s your weekly Rhubarb.

Patreon added an alt text feature finally so I am phasing out captions, but fyi these are my roommate's books not mine!

And Puffin, courtesy of my roommate.
