Hope you’re all hanging in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What else is there to say?

Gender Conceal subscribers can expect a new episode sometime next week. I intended to release it tomorrow, but then I spent Friday going to gay baseball with Mckenzee and Kelsey...

…and then I spent yesterday playing gay softball (with Mattie!) and also running into nepo gay Louisa Jacobson on the train (happy Pride!)…

…and then today I was like “I can definitely finish the podcast!” but then instead I spent a bunch of time looking for links to put into this newsletter. Why do I feel like the people need links? If anything, we probably have too many links in life. Anyway, the episode will be out soon! But not tonight because I need to go to gay line dance. (I swear I do my job but not during PRIDE happy PRIDE.)

Speaking of doing our job, we were in the middle of scheduling the July Gender Reveal interview when Skrmetti dropped, and this potential guest is vaguely connected to Skrmetti (it’s not Chase Strangio this time btw) so now that interview might be postponed, which means idk when the July episode will come out. But I’m sure something will work out! Happy Pride?!?!

And, relatedly, thank y’all for all of the great guest suggestions. I’ve added a bunch of them to our list.

• Gender Reveal alumni Soleil Ho, Reo Eveleth, and Danny Lavery are teaming up with a bunch of other writers to create a worker-owned alt-weekly in the Bay Area!! It’s all very very exciting and you can support and subscribe now! (And also peek at their cute mascot.)

• Our friend Maddy Court recommended a bunch of queer summer reads, which pairs well with this list of new queer books coming out this summer.

• Speaking of books and also Danny Lavery, do you want to read Danny’s agent’s list of novel themes that she’s completely sick of??? Sure you do.

• It’s always humiliating to be a baseball fan but it’s extra humiliating when you see this contrast between baseball and women’s sports. Relatedly: I went to one Liberty game and now I’m forcing everyone to look at pictures of Natasha Cloud. HAPPY PRIDE.

• Brad Lander — the guy that we’re collectively ranking #2 for NYC mayor, behind Zohran — was arrested by ICE agents for simply escorting a man out of his immigration hearing.

• Meanwhile, ICE placed a fake emergency call to the fire department so that the FDNY would be tricked into forcing protestors to move????

• I’m sure we already know that the subway isn't scary but I really feel like Hamilton crushed this one. So funny!

• Sobbing internally every time I see a picture of Mahmoud Khalil smiling with his baby!!!!!
