Frankenfemme, Roadkillboy, or Slimergender?

Hey friends,

Hope you’re all hanging in there. I’m out of Insanity Hours for now, so that’s huge. I also went to the A/S/L book launch event at Hive Mind (cute queer bookstore in Bushwick), and it was such a blast — Jeanne is so smart and so fun, and Cat Fitzpatrick asked really silly yet genius questions that made me want to hand the podcast over to her.

Speaking of Cat Fitzpatrick, actually, did you know that both new LittlePuss Press titles came out this week? We talked about both Anton Solomonik’s Realistic Fiction and Vivian Blaxell’s Worthy of the Event in this bonus episode and now you can buy both books! And, in fact, you should do this. For trans literature and because they are good. (As is A/S/L obvi.)

Anyway, look, here’s the thing: we gotta sell more tickets in Chicago and Minneapolis!!!! We simply gotta. If you know gay people over there, please tell them about our little comedy show. Our Chicago guest is June/Jun1per of “goblin mode” fame and our Minneapolis guest is Cass Adair of “Gender Reveal” fame and maybe I’ll throw in some other surprise guests, WHO KNOWS?? It happens sometimes. 

After these two Gender Ordeal shows, have one last show planned (which we can hopefully announce by Monday) and then the tour is finally over! (Is it still a tour if you, like, meander over to one or two new places per month? Impossible to know.) So if you wanna see the show that people are calling “the hardest I’ve laughed in a long time” and “extremely funny, my face genuinely hurts” then get yr tickets and tell yr transgenders! Don't u wanna know what the hell this is?

It’s a nice time to be in a room with 100-200 trans people. I think everyone will have fun. Midwest don’t let me down!!!!!!! Thank you love u see u soon!!! 

Speaking of travel: I’ll probably put this in a This Week in Gender soon, but I spoke with several experts recently and learned something maybe useful, which is that as of right now, there have been no known incidents of trans people being turned away at the US border for passport gender marker reasons. If you do hear of one of these incidents, plz let me know. But in the meantime, it’s helpful to know that, despite the rhetoric, the anti-trans border policies are not currently being implemented. (Of course, there is still plenty of heinous shit happening at the border, in both old ways and new!!!!!!!!!!! Be prepared etc.)
