TDOS last call! Help Mckenzee & Tuck make a pod? Talia Mae Bettcher!

Hey friends, 

Hope you’re all hanging in there. I have been experiencing what can only be described as Insanity Hours. (No worries lol!) My two coping strategies have been 1) spending a small fortune on fancy hippie beverages at the grocery store and 2) spending many many hours sequencing* a new playlist. These strategies have been working medium-fine. Actually, I had to cut myself off from the playlist because I was thinking about it too much at like 3am? That’s fine. I’m fine. In the meantime, here’s a different playlist I made, which many of you have heard already but guess what it still slaps. imho. 

*I’ve been thinking a lot about how once I sent my ex a playlist and he played it on shuffle????????????????????????????????????????????? No!

Anyway, Mckenzee is in town(!!!) and we’re gonna record a Gender Conceal, so y’all are gonna get a beautiful window into my current mental state … in like a month… but you’ll remember that you read about it now? Did that make sense? Anyway, clearly my thoughts are not “working” so can you please suggest topics for us to chat about? You can reply right here in the newsletter comments, or I guess DM if it’s a secret.

On a different note, thanks so much to everyone who has bought tickets to our Minneapolis and Chicago Gender Ordeal shows! I recently learned that the Minneapolis venue has assigned seating, and those are going pretty darn fast, so grab your seats soon if you wanna sit! This week on the podcast, Ozzy chatted with philosopher Talia Mae Bettcher and I tried to follow along :) I’ve been getting a lot of feedback on this episode that’s either like “I loved this one even though I’m not exactly sure what was being said” or “I’m really high on an edible and it’s all making perfect sense” so maybe try that strategy??? Anyway, there’s a lot in there that I’m still chewing on. Let us know your thoughts plz.

Next week, Jeanne Thornton finally makes her Gender Reveal Universe debut!!!! This episode (it’s a Gender Conceal) would typically come out on Monday, but I’m not sure whether that will happen due to Insanity Hours. But either way, soon!!! Very exciting. By the way, if you haven’t pre-ordered A/S/L (or requested it at your local library), you still have a little time :)

Speaking of “you still have a little time,” Jerika and I will still be checking the Trans Day of Snack Microgrant Form Thing for the next few days, if you wanna throw a pitch together. I’ve been collecting TDOS events we’re tagged in via Instagram stories, if u wanna take a peek at what people are up to. 

No Links this week because I have fallen very behind on all my little newsletters. Instead, might I suggest you watch Moonstruck (1987)? As you probably know, Moonstruck is an immensely Italian movie about abolishing the family and creating something worse. One person I follow on Letterboxd has reviewed Moonstruck nine times and I think she was right to do it.
