thank u for a great tour!

Hey friends,

Hope you're all hanging in there. I was going to write a whole big newsletter on the plane, but they once again took away the WiFi and the movies on my cross-country flight, presumably to see what happens when I'm alone with my thoughts. (Answer: nothing good!)

I got home from tour one (1) hour ago, and I gotta leave the house in about 15 minutes, so in lieu of a newsletter, I'm spamming u with context-free tour pics. I had a really really incredible time and I deeply appreciate everyone who came out to our little show!!!!!!

I wish I had time to write more about what this meant to me, but for now, lemme just give a special shout out to the people who asked us to sign a surgical binder, a bottle of estradiol, a pill case, a coloring book page, and some kind of gender philosophy textbook that none of us understood. (And also: shout out to anyone who signed up for HRT when we demanded it onstage.)

We're going to try for at least two more tour dates (you angels in Minneapolis wore me down!) so lmk if anyone has venue ideas (150-200 seated ideally) for Minneapolis or Chicago, and I'll let you know if they come to fruition. (TBQH you could probably also talk me into Toronto and/or another NYC show, if anyone's itching for one of those.)

In the meantime, please listen to this week's episode with Vera Blossom!!!!!!!! It's truly such a banger and I feel bad that I have not had any chance to promote it this week (except onstage at 11pm in Seattle while talking about Sexy Shrek.)

No time for links but here's your weekly Rhubarb, of course.

Photo: Ruby sitting in the doorway looking like a little model, trying to decide if she should be mad at me for being gone for a week.

omg I'm obsessed with the mural AND the horrifying vegetable creatures on the outside haha, my faves. I'm so glad you AND your partner had a good time!!!

Tuck

hell yea, wayside mural made it into the photo recap lol. THANK YOU! it was a very fun time, my partner even had a good time and they hate going to things lol. also shout out to it being like 95% masked! <3 that was a pleasant surprise.

Elliott Giannini

ooooh ok New City Center costs like 7% of everywhere else so it might just be a small show lol, thank you for all this!

Tuck

wow HUGE, I'm honored

Tuck

omg I didn't know there was a baby!!!! shout out to that baby

Tuck

lmao

Tuck

this is an incredibly long shot but what if you came to… paris???

Ysaure Fulconis

Yes, New City Center is also an option (verrrry affordable and hosts rad collectives) but may not have enough seating.

A Dart

I’m now realizing that I don’t know how long they’re gonna let us travel between US and Canada 😅

Tuck

Strongly 3rded!

J

Thank you for coming to DC!! My friend (who came down from Baltimore!) and I had so much fun and found it really healing to be in a room full of fellow transes and queers (and a whole baby!? props to the baby)

shura

Thank youuuu for an amazing show!! My wife who chronically does not like going to things had a great time which is about the highest compliment I can give ❤️

Jo

Green Room is also an option, but the ones listed here already are better imo (they’ve hosted trans events before). I do have the contact for the owner of Green Room though so feel free to hmu if needed

Gabs S

New City Church might be a good venue? They're very rad, hosted a Margaret Killjoy reading when the anarchist bookstore ran out of capacity (shout out Boneshaker)

Eden

Seconded!!!! Pls pls pls I will drive the 4 hours from Ottawa solely for this show, watch me

Max Turner

+1 for Mixed Blood or Cedar. Hook & Ladder might also be an option but possibly too small for 150-200 seated? Or Jungle Theater.

A Dart

+1 on the Cedar Cultural Center. It might be a bit large for 200, but AFAIK it’s not overpriced and they are definitely cool!

Miranda Osthoff

I'm just glad to see Maddie's outfits regardless of context, she's always looking great

Kai Lewen

It was such a fun show and it was really great and healing to be in a room with a bunch of transsexuals right now <3. It was very fun and also weird for a second to hear the voices that come from my phone come from Actual Human People.

Sam Hawkins

And also cedar cultural center is amazing!

Adrian

It was amazing to meet you all and I will cherish my signed bottle for so long! Y'all are an inspiration and such a great reminder of the queer community that's out there

Sage Kilen

Mixed blood is also a lovely theater. They hosted our trans cabaret

Adrian

For Minneapolis venues- parkway theater is around 300 I think but a really pretty space and probably on the cheaper side

Adrian

toronto please I will cry 💖

Rowen

💜 Thank you for a great Seattle Late Show!!! 💜

Courtney
