Thor: The Dark World UNEDITED REACTION (early access)

I really hoped I’d enjoy this more on a rewatch but still one of my least faves! I loved the Asgard scenes and Friggas funeral was so beautifully done and emotional. But the second half just falls flat to me. Loved ninetailed’s reaction to the Loki reveal!! 🤣 think we all did the same when seeing the first time. Cannot WAIT for the winter soldier which is one of the best movies in the entire franchise by far

This movie isn't terrible. I mostly watch it for Loki, and the family drama. There are some great Loki scenes that they cut which is a shame.

This movie is definitely underrated. All the stuff on Asgard I really loved. Exploring the other 9 realms is also really cool. The Thor, Loki, Odin, and Frigga family dynamic/drama is absolutely the biggest highlight for me. Tbh, it's the best thing about the Thor-centric storylines though I do also like his personal story of struggling with responsibility, legacy, power, and duty. I love me a good King-making storyline with a prince/princess struggling to figure out how to rule. The unmemorable villain, most of the attempted comedy on Earth, and the lackluster waves at romance are the detractors for me. (I've never been a fan of Thor/Jane tbh so that was always gonna pale in comparison to the literal space opera/fantasy/sci-fi elements which are deserving of far more focus.) But still, even with all of that. Thor 2 is fine. I've enjoyed other MCU movies far less. Now, fun fact: Chris Hemsworth's real wife was the stand-in actress at the very end of the movie when Thor comes back to Earth and he and Jane kiss. Natalie Portman wasn't available during a reshoot.

I still enjoyed this film for the dark elves aspect and chris eccleston as the main villain. The guy is a great actor. The writing was a let down, especially with villain and romance development, but it still is a fun film.

This movie is ok, but when you compare it to the other solo marvel films it definitely ranks low. The only thing that I really disliked in this movie was the Jane Foster and Thor romance and I think a lot of people felt that way as well. For some reason, their romance just fell flat, unlike other romantic couples in the MCU, like Tony and Pepper or Steve and Peggy. The best parts of the movie were the scenes between Thor and Loki. I understand both why people hated it and why some liked the movie.

Lol the bar was set high with the first Thor, this one wasn’t as good but still an ok movie. They made up for it in the next one

OMG Yes! I’ve been waiting for this movie all week. A lot of people say it’s the worst one, but actually, it’s one of my favorites! Can’t wait to watch your reaction! Keep up the great work, guys! :)
