Next Musical Movie

Weird, my comment disappeared!(!) I try again hehe, so would you watch MOULIN ROUGE? It's a modern classic, and my favorite musical! (together with La La Land)

I hope you really do Dr. Horrible Sing Along Blog at some point on here. It is only about 45 mins long. It's about an Anti-hero, and those stories (at least to me) often are the best. It's very funny, with great music! I do have a feeling, as some people have said in these comments that it will probably never win. It is a Cult Classic, and so many people, especially now a days don't know about it. But it really is worth it.

I do love Dr. Horrible, and while the movie version of Les Mis doesn't work for me personally I think it's a decent watch - but the Sound of Music holds a special place in my heart!

Les Miserables isn't really a "classical" musical, but it is epic. If you end up watching it, I suggest adding subtitles since it's almost completely sung-through (no spoken dialogue).

Sound of Music definitely. One of the best films period (not just musicals) and you'll be able to see a nice contrast to how classic movie musicals were done vs. a more modern movie musical like Sweeney Todd or The Greatest Showman.

Sound of Music is an absoloute classic which still holds up to this day after 56 years! Please vote for it guys, I really think everyone will enjoy it so much!!!! I really reccomend watching some more older classics, for example Rear Window, my all time favourite Hitchcock film! Loving all your reactions guys, thanks!

Such a shame because it's so good - and short!! It's a holiday tradition in my family for all of my adult siblings to play it at least once after a few drinks - belting out each song obnoxiously and probably traumatizing the pets. Maybe one day they'll find the time to do it without the poll! :)

I would vote for Oliver if it was on the list as you keep saying you would love to watch the classics it won the best picture at the academy awards in 1968. Has a great cast and great songs seriously it deserves to be on the list.
