Hey friends,

Hope you’re all hanging in there. I was on vacation this week, enjoying a trip I booked way back in April when I was in the middle of a podcast-induced meltdown (lmao). I spent the week in Washington state, and boy howdy, do you know how good a blueberry can be? Or a peach, or a carrot, or a tomato?? To be fair, this was after three days of mostly eating baseball stadium hot dogs, so I was primed to be impressed by any fruit or vegetable, but I think I would’ve been stunned either way.

(Do y’all remember slide projectors? Posting this image carousel makes me feel like I’m subjecting y’all to an old-timey slide projector presentation about my vacation in someone’s living room in the ‘90s. Nevertheless!)

Since I spent the week (base)balling and vibing, next week’s Gender Reveal episode is running a hair late. But sometime very soon — maybe Monday night or Tuesday morning? — we will be releasing an episode with my good friend Rose Eveleth, creator of Flash Forward! We’ll be focusing almost exclusively on Rose (and Ozzy!)’s newest project, Tested, so if you have time before our episode drops, why not listen to Tested first? The whole series is only like, three hours total, I think. Easy breezy.

I’m recording this month’s Gender Conceal episode on Tuesday, and my hint is that it’s “someone with a book out who is also the partner of a previous Gender Conceal guest.” Can you guess whomst?

Oh, also, big news for Canadians who are also freaks: 2 Trans 2 Furious is now available with free shipping(!) from All Lit Up! What a steal! (Or you can request a copy from your local bookstore, which I can’t stress enough is so helpful. Bookstores don’t know about our book yet! Even cool ones in gay cities like Seattle and New York! Who will tell them?? Not me because my name is on the cover lol.)

• I was researching the Perkins family for truly no reason and learned for the first time that Elvis Perkins is Anthony Perkins’ son! If you are asking “Who is Elvis Perkins?” you are not alone — I turned on Elvis Perkins in Dearland just now and learned that the album only has like 8000 monthly Sp*tify listeners? Maybe that’s good for one album from 2009 (the Ash Wednesday listens are counted separately) but I literally gasped. Stream Elvis Perkins in Dreamland this week, why not!!!!
