Trans Day of Having a Nice Snack 2024 starts NOW!

I’ll write you a proper newsletter next week, but today I want to quickly give you a sneak preview of this year’s Trans Day of Snack festivities.

OK, but what are we up to? We’re running the same mutual aid offerings as last year:

• $20 snack payments to any trans person living in the 26 states most impacted by anti-trans legislation* (or who recently fled one of those states)

• $100 mutual aid payments for trans people (living in those same 26 states) in acute financial need (for housing, food, medication, utilities, etc.)

• An updated, robust trans resource list

*These states are AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, OH, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, WV, and WY. Wish we didn’t have to make any limits but we’ve got finite resources; you get it.

The difference from last year is that we’re splitting the work into two days, which means that the Trans Day of Snack form is open right now!!!!! (It will be publicly posted in an hour or two, but I’m letting y’all know first.)

We’re collecting snack applications and donations on Saturday, Trans Eve(??) of Snack. Tomorrow, Sunday, Trans Day of Snack, we’ll be actually making all the Venmo payments.
