Hey friends,
Hope you’re all hanging in there.
This week on the show, Ozzy and I chatted with former Google organizer Liz Fong-Jones. Liz also started this cool strike fund (which we talked about) and has been key in the fight against KiwiFarms (which we didn’t talk about for mostly legal reasons). Because I am the way I am, my favorite part is near the end, when she talks about online risk assessment and whether organizers should be most worried about:
our Google Docs (etc) being read by Google employees
our Google Docs (etc) being read by the government
our account passwords getting compromised
our movements getting infiltrated by moles
something else?
In this episode, I also talk briefly about my episode of Hang Up, which was recorded live at On Air Fest last month. As someone who is always thinking about queer reality dating shows (and how we deserve better than what we get), I’m a big fan of Hang Up as a project, and this experience was such a silly little fever dream!

Next week on the show, I’m chatting with Jamie Lauren Keiles about his upcoming nonbinary history book, his resignation from theee New York Times, his All of Us Strangers review that Letterboxd deleted for being homophobic(!?! lol) and much much more. This is a really fun and spicy one imho, and I really hope you enjoy it!
Alsoooo, you’ve got one more week to grab Trans Day of Snack merch (and Palestine solidarity shirts) from our little shop. No presh!

This is a new segment inspired by the fact that I watched a LOT of stuff in the past two weeks and would recommend all of it! Some of it only exists in New York, some of it is touring, and some of it is available in a theater/streaming platform/torrent near you (probably):
Problemista (full review here lol)
Love Lies Bleeding
Chris Fleming (limited tour dates but the special is available for streaming)
James Acaster: Hecklers Welcome (I have sooo many thoughts on this show!!! I’ve never seen someone do 2 hours of standup in my life, how did he do that???)
This Is Me… Now (if you can steal someone’s Prime account and want to suffer)
I also saw Josh Aaron Bowen improv and you unfortch can’t watch that but you can stream Dicks: The Musical which is so similar honestly!!

Wow that seems like enough Links but I do have more for Links & Stuff so here we go!
Zaina Arafat wrote about fasting for Ramadan while Gaza goes hungry
My friend Shay Mirk and their collaborators just launched Cartoonists for Palestine, an archive of comics about the ongoing violence.
I’ve been thinking a lot about this guy (Ebou Sarr) who has been housing 70 migrants in his furniture stores because the city is failing to provide adequate resources.
Trader Joe’s wants to abolish the NLRB in case u didn't hear!
This headline sucks but I love thinking about autistic comedy :) :)
I’m running out of wall space but also this poster is extremely me-coded and I WILL be purchasing
