Grant open! Transcripts up! Recs accepted! Baseball gay!

Hey friends,

Hope you’re all hanging in there. Happy Friday the 13th! No new eps, obviously, but we’ve got some fun stuff happening behind the scenes (and… in front of the scenes? In the scenes? What’s the opposite of that, do you think?).

Anyway, a bunch of updates for ya:

First and foremost, our 2023 round of grants is now open! It’s been challenging to share the application outside of Instagram due to ~social media kind of collapsing~ so if you could help spread the word, I’d really appreciate it. Speaking of our website: Our transcription team on slack has been doing really great work, and we’re almost completely caught up on episode transcripts! • Really really beautiful essay in Jewish Currents about the ongoing genocide in Palestine and the ways that anti-Zionist Jews are reckoning with it. (Speaking of, I know a lot of us are feeling helpless right now, including me! If there's somehow a way to be helpful in the face of this horrifying violence, please please share.) 
• Hamilton Nolan wrote about how the word “terrorism” is unhelpful at best.

One sort of medium thing:

• A funny article :) about Zelle fraud :( but everyone is fine :)

• Speaking of baseball, I hope I indoctrinated a few of you last week into being obsessed with Nick Castellanos. Either way, I thought you should see these videos. (It’s giving autism representation (complimentary) and I’m gonna kiss him on the mouth about it.)
