M.E. O’Brien! New NYT gossip! One of Tuck’s favorite trans texts!

Hope you’re hanging in there. Very hyped to share this week’s Very Special Family Abolition episode with M.E. O’Brien! I pulled a few of my favorite quotes and stuck them on Twitter and Instagram to make them easily sharable if you’re into that sort of thing. Next week, we’ve got Hal Schrieve on the show — if you haven’t read hir comic Vivian’s Ghost, I recommend mainlining the whole thing asap, because it really is one of my favorite Trans Texts. Other updates: 2 Trans 2 Furious is allegedly getting printed right now, but we don’t know if we’ll get our hands on the copies before the UPS strike. (OBVIOUSLY, I support the strike with my whole entire heart, and it will be fine if this delays our silly book!) I’m also trying to plan some other fun stuff for y’all (or at least some of y’all) but nobody will answer my emails so I’m currently a little bit stuck on that front. (To be fair, I also do not answer emails.)

I typed a long paragraph here about production logistics and then I decided that actually nobody cares, so let’s jump to Links & Stuff:

• Imara Jones’ Anti-Trans Hate Machine podcast just put out a really important episode about our favorite enemy, the New York Times!!! Highly recommend listening or reading the transcript, especially if you enjoyed my YWA episode.
• I generally do not care about any pickleball discourse but this one kinda fascinated me for some reason.
• I got stuck (complimentary) on this line from a recent Hola Papi:

"Worship of the solitary self has led to a nebulous definition of community where one can identify with a community not because they necessarily share material conditions with a group, but because that group lends them context, makes them more interesting, and gives them lore."

• Maybe everyone has heard about this already but Bushwick has a stew going.
• A cute little This Week in Gender-style piece of trans news.
• This Washington Post story about the various horrors of the ocean is a trove of other horrifying links about the ocean, most of which I really enjoyed! (Especially this one.)
