Sandy Stone! Family abolition! Mad Max?

Hey friends,

Hope you’re all hanging in there. I was sick for a couple days, which led me to Sit At Home Doing Nothing, and I’m immediately overcompensating from that by drinking a cold brew and planning a sort of untenable number of future plans. So, keep an eye out for updates on [redacted] and also [redacted] lol.

In the meantime! This week on the show, we have a BEAUTIFUL guest interview with THE one and only Sandy Stone. If you don’t know of Sandy, I truly have no idea how to summarize her vast, illustrious body of work, so you’ll simply have to listen to the episode!!!! The interview is conducted by Sarah Esocoff — remember her from, like, Season 2 bonus content? Sandy and Sarah have such an incredible vibe and I just!!! Love!!! This episode!!!! (Don’t forget to listen to the rest of the Sounds Gay catalogue too, especially the Melanie Speaks episode.)

Next week on the show, we’ve got an Ozzy-led chat with M.E. O’Brien. Like Sandy, M.E. is a genius whose work is hard to summarize, but I’ll try: she’s a psychoanalyst, organizer, and writer whose work primarily focuses on gay communism, capitalism (derogatory), family abolition, and speculative communist futures. We’ll be talking mostly about her new book, FAMILY ABOLITION, and I’m so excited to hear your thoughts on it!!!

(Lots of !!!!! today. Even more than normal, I feel. I blame the cold brew.)

(Also this coffee shop is playing Grimes’ Oblivion and say what you will about the M*sk of it all but this song still rules sorry!)

OK I truly cannot think of anything else that goes in this newsletter so here’s Links & Stuff:

That’s it for this week. Here’s your weekly Rhubarb.
