Honey Mahogany! Cisgender bottom surgery!

Hope you’re hanging in there. Before I go any further, I need you to know that we’re putting out a Gender Conceal episode tomorrow, and it’s called “High-Fiving Mattie Lubchansky through Keith Haring’s Irreversible Damage Hole.” I love making a normal podcast!!!!!

Anyway, this week on the main feed, we’ve got the glamorous genius herself, Honey Mahogany! I don’t know how she does it, but Honey is an activist and a drag performer and a politician and a social worker and a musician and a small business owner and probably many things I’m forgetting! I was excited to ask her about founding the world’s first transgender cultural district and co-owning a queer bar with 17 other people… I also asked her about, well, this:

No new episode next week! Ozzy and I are trying to schedule a bunch of interviews for the rest of the season... but that process involves getting people to answer emails, which is famously difficult. (I say this as someone who finally set up an auto-reply to all Gender Reveal emails, so I’m obviously included in this.) But we’ve got some great stuff in the works, and we’ll have a bonus episode in the feed for you in a couple weeks that I’m really excited about.

We’re also putting the merch shop back on hiatus after tomorrow, so grab what you want while you can. :)

It’s time for Links & Stuff, but I’m gonna be real, I was doing Moving and then Pride and then Work and absolutely have not read an article in weeks. OK, that’s a lie, I read two:

• Melissa Gira Grant realized that a gay couple in the middle of a Supreme Court case just literally does not exist?
• This article is incredible harrowing but is also a fascinating peek into how easily some cisgender people can access bottom surgery/gender-affirming care. lol except really.

A few weeks ago, friend-of-the-show Jerika used one of those weird AI generators to expand the GR logo and also my twitter profile pic, so I guess I will leave you with those! Why not.
