Hey friends,
Hope you’re all hanging in there. My big news for the week is that I beat out Lena Dunham to anonymously win a Who, Me? Award for most deranged/iconic call of 2022!?! If you’re a Who? Weekly listener, you know exactly what I mean, and if you are not a Who? Weekly listener, I strongly encourage you to not try to figure it out — the lore is like 10 months deep minimum and it’s not worth it, lol.
Anyway! This week on the show, I’m thrilled to share my conversation with musician Alynda Segarra, also known as Hurray for the Riff Raff. In true gender detective fashion, I’ve been keeping an eye on Alynda’s ~gender journey~ and was very excited to have an excuse to chat with them. We discuss trying to sneak past a blockbuster movie set while wearing… this.

We also talk about their musical inspirations (Emergent Strategy, climate change, the Young Lords, etc.) and gender inspirations (Julian Casablancas, being a scary punk); discuss the key distinctions between Pisces and Cancers; and even learn Alynda’s favorite bit of wisdom from a Gender Reveal advice episode!
And speaking of which: we’ve got two advice segments coming up (one with Mattie & Danny at our upcoming live show, and one with Mckenzee on ye ol’ bonus pod Gender Conceal), so if you have any questions you’d like to hear us tackle, please send them our way!
In next week’s show, we finally chat with an oft-requested guest who is also a longtime friend of Alynda’s. Can you guess who they are? (Here’s an anagram of their name: ratlike glory jam.)
OK, time for Links & Stuff.

That’s it for this week. Here’s your weekly Rhubarb.
