It's definitely not on the level of Goonies but I found certain parts of 'Honey I shrunk the kids' felt semi Goonie-esk. It's another beloved one from my childhood :)

Guys, plz, don't fight. That causes me more unwanted pressure than any comment about a poll. Thank you Jonathan for trying to stand up for me, but let's just keep this community happy. I know ya'll are gonna disagree about stuff but it don't men we have to fight about it.

If you don't get it by now let me explain . The comment is hurtful in a way that if people who voted for Ryan and ET would think that they have made the wrong choice . If you wanna be a apologist for complainers and people who constantly nag until they get what they want then be my guest . I was raised not to tolerate mess like that and i'm not gonna change anytime soon . So if you have a solution that doesn't include shaming me for not tolerating this behaviour then i'm all ears . I don't need an apologist to tell me to stop saying the TRUTH . The comment is hurtful and it caused James unwanted pressure to reply back . So be part of the solution not part of the problem .

I was in a very good mood until you wanna keep hashing out drama when the drama was already handled . Stop taking things to literally before people stop taking you seriously . So if you don't care about keeping the integrity of voting on this channel sacred then do not complain yourself like the person you are defending did when someone like me who is not afraid to call people out on what their doing and explain in my own way how they feel about it . So i would like to thank you for not letting anything go when it was already handled because of a word i used to describe people who whine and complain a lot . I don't appreciate it . Jonathan, since you put it out there I'll answer the question even though I guess you just meant it as a statement. Yes, you are asking too much! If you think by Dylan stating a film was being slighted makes him an asshole or have I missed some really terrible remarks that aren't showing up for me? Imo, that statement is akin to him saying "jolly gee willikers no one is voting for the movie I wanted and I sure wish they had cuz you're gonna be missing out on a great movie." Not everyone reads all the comments so they might not realize that the poll lists will most likely all be watched in good time...so they want to push the movie they see as the best on the list. Jonathan, how are the people who find Scorsese and Coppola to be amazing directors and not just makers of some "gangster flicks" supposed to react to your comment that did the same thing that Dylan did? Dylans comment was no more "hurtful" than yours. I hope that you would agree that these are all just opinions and we each get our own and the right to express them.

I agree with you people should be more patient if your not a fan of a certain film that they are watching just don't watch the reaction its simple absolutely no need for nasty or negative comments.

Dylan , if you would have worded it differently instead of what you put then there wouldn't be discourse . You do know that words can hurt more than objects . Goodfellas is not being slighted . We have a lot of Spielberg fans who happen to like his stuff more than a gangster flick . It does hurt the people who voted for Ryan and ET when comments like the one you posted make them feel like they are the one's at fault .

I understand where you are coming from now Jonathan maybe if they put up a poll with a certain genre say a war film one week maybe action adventure another week it may stop people being nasty but maybe not its just a thought.

Linda , that reply is for people like Dylan who make comments that discourage and hurt people's feelings that voted for Ryan and ET . Others made similar or more ugly remarks last poll when Jaws was winning . I had to call it out before it happened again . I'm sorry if you felt i targeted you in the process . You never have been drawn into drama like this and it shouldn't have had to happen . I know you don't have prejudice against film makers but there are people who do . We need to protect our community from these people .

I love The Goonies! Stranger Things (the TV series) kinda fills that itch for stuff like it, but do wish there was some more films/tv shows that can capture those feelings when watching The Goonies again. It’s such a beloved classic <3

Spielberg has made many great films Hook Super 8 schindlers list the Goonies and the Color Purple being amongst my favourites just so you know that I have absolutely no prejudice against Steven Spielberg as has been suggested by someone on here which as annoyed me somewhat. You guys watch whatever you like I will still watch along with you.

I agree. I personally don't like The Godfather or Goodfellas, I don't care how legendary they are but when you do, I will rewatch it with you because you are good reactors and hearing your thoughts will be worth it. The discussion part is the most important part for me anyway...and there is no way of pleasing all of us. You have a varied audience here and that's a good thing :)

Don't worry about it . They just have prejudice against a great film maker that deserves to have your attention by people who loves his work a little bit more than the other two . I also have tried to get people to understand why Spielberg's work is just as legendary as a couple of gangster films are . You can't win over everybody. But those who will watch what wins and doesn't complain about it are your real fans . Trust in them .

To be honest , I would go with all 4 because they are all game changing films that shook up all their genres for the better . Stop saying that one is better . They are all great movies . It's just we have a lot of Spielberg fans that wanna see this man's work get reacted to . Honestly , the man is a creative and film making genius . His work should be talked about from future generations to come . They will get to The Godfather and Scorsese's work later . Give it time and just enjoy what they do .

Saving Private Ryan is really good but honestly after Braveheart and Gladiator I'd prefer something a little more comfy so I'd say ET. But both are good regardless :)

All 4 of these are seen as classic movies . It's good you have Spielberg on here twice but we all know his WWII epics Saving Private Ryan and Schindler's List are the go to for Spielberg .
