Hey friends,
Hope you’re all hanging in there. Phew, it’s dark out there, huh???? I meant literally — it’s pitch black at 5:13pm — but figuratively we probably aren’t doing great either. It's brutal out here, as (I assume) the teens say.
You know what is great, though? This week’s episode with sports writer extraordinaire Britni de la Cretaz! I had so much fun speaking with Britni, and learned so much about everything from the obstacles faced by transmasculine athletes, to the way that AA both helped Britni get sober and led to an ill-advised marriage.
(Neither of those topics sound particularly fun, huh? We also talk about embracing gender maximalism, discovering trans elders, protesting the Olympics, fighting your editors, and creating space for nonbinary and trans people in sports, to name a few.)

Britni’s book (Hail Mary: the Rise & Fall of the National Women’s Football League) is currently available wherever books are, and their Instagram features a bunch of fun behind-the-scenes content of, let’s be honest, a bunch of hot dykes who played football 50 years ago. Would recommend!
I’d also recommend checking out our merch store this month, as we packed it full of six (6!) new designs and four old favorites (including Surf/Terf tanks and the iconic Trains Flag mug!). I could post like 15 product shots here but why don’t you go check it out in the shop instead.
I do feel obligated to tell you that I didn't end up working six 12s last week, both because Jules is an angel and because my brain completely shut down after the 4th day and made me go eat a sandwich or whatever. But I did work a lot, and then I went to a Julien Baker show because I wasn’t depressed enough already, and now here we are!
Luckily, this cured my depression:

OK, I think that's it for now. Thanks for being here and making it possible for me to pay Jules and also myself. Here’s your weekly Rhubarb.
