What General Kirigan did was unforgivable. But I also really disturbed by the General in West Ravka. He wanted Alina killed so that the Fold could not be destroyed, because that would quash his revolt to break away. So he was willing to keep the Fold if it achieved his political ends. I listened to the first audiobook in this series. So I don’t know what happens in Season 2. But I’m going to guess that those things following Kirigan out of the Fold are the monsters that lived inside it.
