Hey bbs,
We're doing things pretty differently on the pod this week, so I figured I'd give you a Pretty Different Newsletter as well.
Above is a little clip about twitter and Strangers Having Expectations from our upcoming interview with John Paul Brammer, which will most likely drop early Thursday morning. It's not fully mixed or anything, but I pulled it for someone (past and future guest Gaby Dunn, actually) and thought y'all might enjoy it as well, especially if you are also Too Online.

Photo ID: JP Brammer sitting at a dark brown wooden desk, wearing a white button-down shirt and staring sternly into the camera. There is a vase of orange flowers behind him, and flowers embroidered on the lapel of his shirt.
I'm excited for our chat with JP to drop, and I hope you are too! In the episode, we address questions like:
**This sounds VERY racist but is an actual plot point in the interview and in his new book, Hola Papi: How to Come Out in a Walmart Parking Lot and Other Life Lessons.
Now that Julia is part of the team (SHOUT OUT TO JULIA LLINAS GOODMAN, MY MVP AND PERSONAL HERO), we're actually a teeny tiny bit ahead on the production schedule for once — even though I made the absolutely bananas decision to release two episodes in one week. (Spoiler: this won't be the only time this season that we release multiple episodes per week! Oops!)
Since we're working ahead, I may be able to pull audio clips like this one a bit before the episode comes out. Is that fun? Do you prefer the regular format? Let me know; this newsletter exists solely to please you (and plug the show and sell merch and whatever.)

Don't want to wait until Thursday? Don't worry, we have another new interview for you. In our Monday episode, I chatted with Maddy Court, who you might know better as lesbian meme legend Xena Worrier Princess. Maddy packed a lot of really useful advice into a short interview (while insisting that she didn't have good advice and/or doesn't enjoy telling people what to do?! so powerful), including:

Photo ID: A copy of the book "The Ex-Girlfriend of My Ex-Girlfriend Is My Girlfriend: Advice on Queer Dating, Love, and Friendship" by Maddy Court and a copy of the book "Hola Papi" by John Paul Brammer. (Maddy's book is hot pink and JP's book is blue so I guess it's the two genders.)
I'm gonna take better photos of both these books tomorrow, but here's a shitty photo taken on my oven at midnight. Why are the books on the oven? I don't know why I do the things I do. But I do genuinely recommend both of these books — they are VERY good and will probably make you experience multiple gay emotions.
If you can't afford the books, (libraries exist!!!! and also) both Maddy and JP have really good newsletters. Maddy makes both a free and paid version of the Xena Worrier Princess Substack (I pay for mine but do you), and John Paul's Hola Papi newsletter is 100% free in a way that makes me mad because it's VERY VERY GOOD and I want to give him money!!!!!

The Gender Reveal nonprofit merch store (™) is really popping off this month, y'all. We have sold 106 Hot Trans Summer tank tops alone. ONE HUNDRED SIX!!!! That's like $350 for Morris Home!!!!! (Imagine how many we would sell if Spring restocked their tank top sizes lolfuck.)
After last week's newsletter, I finally got it together and got myself a More Kink at Pride tank top, plus this cute Gender Peddler sticker and a mug for good measure. If you want anything from our store, snag it by June 30 at bit.ly/gendermerch or forever hold ur etc.
OK, that's it for this week's newsletter. Stay safe, stay cool, stay trans. I love you.
Here's your weekly Rhubarb.

PS: These cis-guest episodes might be a good way to bait-and-switch the cis people in your life into listening to a trans podcast. Just a thought! Happy Pride!
